    @CB3 Please don't do with new raid planner what you you did with raid recorder, and so many other systems, and abandon them because people didn't use them as first released.

    I think it has the potential to 'really' improve how fun and friendly your challenging game is.

    However, when you release it, it's almost certainly going to suck at first, and people are not going to use it. . Not because you did a bad job, but because users really suck.
    The community will not use it is there is 'anything' that they consider better for a given instance, and often just familiar is better.
    But please don't abandon it there.
    Listen to feedback.
    Act fast.
    Market your improvements.
    Frankly I think the raid planner needs a task force for its early days. And by early days I mean first 12 months.
    • And I would 'strongly' recommend that people are able to edit raid planners out of
      instance.
    • The only requirement limitation should be you can't create/edit your own planner out of instance, if you've never 'seen' that arena in that configuration.
    • People 'will' need to be able to freestyle draw shapes on the arena like for Ex4's boom patterns.
    • It needs to be quite close to as limitless as the current raidplanner.github or it won't get used
    • Maybe even just go use an opensource draw library if you have to? Don't reinvent the wheel.
    • Store the planners on the client to they are without limit.
    • Make sure planner files can be shared and downloaded to other clients.
    • Make sure there is a validation if they are stored clientside, because modders be modders.
    • Make sure the planners can be viewed outside of game. (You could either host publish them under player's lodestones I think that would be cool. And/or just allow them to exported to Jpg)

    i don't think it has to be like that, but I see those points as hazards to at least consider.

    They need to do 2 Things to make the Ingame Planner perfect

    1. Give us acces to it outside of the Game, so we can create a plan for each fight outside and import it ingame

    2. Chat Links, the same as with Items, the moment someone posts a Link for the Ingameplanner, we click them and have acces to it, because it needs to be accesable for consoleplayers too, so the best solution would be legit to use the same System as we do for now with Linking Items in the Chat.

    I bet there will be plugins which import plans from the already existing raid planners to the ingame raid planner.

    Oh 100% there will be but given their stance on those they really should provide a way to do it themselves. We'll probably end up seeing the import strings in guide videos and the balance if there's an import method.
