WHAT! They couldn't afford an FT normal, but they could afford a deep dungeon savage, which lets face it, they will have been working on already. They didn't say it was savage, just "harder".
More annoying it's locked behind doing 100 floors of Deep Dungeon, though, since most people will stop at whatever the story floor is (like floor 30 for HoH/EO), though finding groups for Deep Dungeon isn't too bad... So long as it's not annoying like EO was.
Well then they were being honest, they could afford it, but they gave the budget to Savage.
... actually what am I doign giving them prais for being honest.
YouW@#£$!
You could afford an FT normal, but you spent the FT normal budget on a Chaotic savage, and a Deep dungeon Savage, and then kept the FT savage too.
You coud afford it but you just gave our budget away to this BS.
If you don't like that interpretation CB3. You don't have to wait until the next live letter to clarify.
Nah I feel sorry for them now
And I regret my W@:#r$ outburst.
I apologise to the SE team.
But I'd just been defending them for being honest and then I heard the prospect of another Deep Dungeon savage and I remembered the money they chose to spend on Chaotic and it was just too much. Not cool of me. Not the first time.

I think it's more infuriating that they are just throwing the raid into the bin (essicently) and said nothing about some of the rewards in there that more casual players want to collect.Don't they realise the big 'fuck you' this is to most of the playerbase... I've been critical for a long time, but up until now, I always wanted them to get back in track. Now I want to see them fail hard. How could they achieve to ignore 3 years of complaints and FT was their answer...

For all we know, the harder DD boss may not be that hard. The issue is that while soloing is challenging, a group can make it easier, so making a part of it that is specifically for a group makes sense.
My hope for it is for it not to be as tough as Criterion but to be something you can scramble 3 FC members into a party for.
If they brought back the demiclone system then a harder one-off floor 99 boss makes sense, since demiclones utterly trivialize the fight otherwise. It was a big flaw of the system in EO where demiclones weren't really worth using on normal floors (in a group, anyway) and people tended to just save a bunch of onion knights to kill the 99 boss before it could do anything. For all we know, the harder DD boss may not be that hard. Dunno if that's the actual reason, but it's a possibility.

Ive completed all DD minus POTD, I'm actually happy they're adding another fight for players who clear the dungeon. Either way, I'm not opposing the idea to dedicate an extra fight for whatever reason.
Just don't act like deep dungeons aren't meant for the casual audience, cause they are. The bosses barely have mechanics and memorizing 3 mechanics per Boss, isn't difficult.

Have you played through the latest bosses of EO? They definitely have a lot more to them and failing anything tends to insta kill you. They're completely different from the potd and hoh bosses and more in line with current pve extremes.Ive completed all DD minus POTD, I'm actually happy they're adding another fight for players who clear the dungeon. I'm just annoyed that everything in this game is slowly turning into bosses. DD doesn't need more of those. That's not what's fun in DD.

Regarding the 'harder' boss of the Deep Dungeon, did I understand it right that it's not necessary to do it to complete the DD per se, but that it only unlocks as an optional fight after completion of the duty?
Because that way it would at least not impact a run for let's say a solo player.
