RPG Site: A lot of Japanese developers describe the Japanese development process as a lot less streamlined than the Western one. People sit in a room together and talk for seven hours about the eye color of the main character... [Everyone laughs] Things take a long time to get done. Was that a problem when you came into FF14, and did you streamline it?
Yoshida: [Laughs] When I took over the project it was December 2010. In about a month, I went over the game, figured out what needed to be done and made up a list. At the end of January, I submitted this long, long list to the team, saying this is what we need to do.

In the past 14 months, I've taken the game from what it was to what you've just seen on the screen. I think that's pretty streamlined.

I would like to say a great big thank you to everyone who came to the Square Enix booth and the FFXIV: A Realm Reborn stage at Gamescom 2012!

It was a great feeling to be able to meet so many fans of the FF series and the FFXIV players who cheered me on, took photos and came to the signing session.
And for the fans that brought me a present on the day, unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to thank you in person and would like to deeply apologise! Your gifts have really spurred me on ^^

Also, with regards to the couple that I had met at JapanExpo (I’ll keep your names anonymous), they told me at the signing session “We will be getting married soon!” and when I arrived back in Japan I received a letter with wedding photos of the lovely couple. I am really intrigued by the shining Cactuar cuffs on the sleeve of the tuxedo (lol)
I wish you both a life of happiness!
We are preparing a cathedral so that you can get married in Eorzea as well, so please look forward to actually having wedding content in the game :P
