Making it through the first boss in this case involves following the movements of the other players who have already done the preparation and learned the fight - and even then if OP was selected for the meteor mechanic they would have risked causing a wipe depending on where they placed it. Perhaps this is a harsh thing to say, but I don't think it warrants any respect at all - and it is simply fortunate that they weren't selected to do mechanics that have the potential to kill others.

Intentionally killing someone with a tank buster doesn't warrant any respect, as well as jumping up and down like this was Call of duty tea bagging season all over again. Also you missed out that they watched videos before hand before entering so there was some effort put forth and not just a intentional grief unlike the actions of others.

The chance of them naturally going into Forked Tower is close to the square root of zero. The only way they're getting into Forked Tower is by joining an organised group or sniping an organised group's run.

The fact that they watched a video guide is not the slam dunk you think it is. It only reveals the decision to snipe an organised group's run is completely intentional and not done naively.

I'm not sure where this point has come from. My point has been regardless of how any content is designed, players are intelligent enough to know if their behaviour (in this case, sniping) is discourteous to others. There is a bare minimum expected of people.

Do you nitpick the design of shopping trolleys and supermarket car parks when individual shoppers choose not to return the trolley to its original place? Or perhaps you think people who vocally object to that sort of behavour are the real problem?

If you look at it in Ultimate/Savage PF terms, there are people in this thread who think it would be perfectly acceptable to join a kill party for an Ultimate/Savage without any experience - but only if the way to enter Ultimate/Savage was a shiny platform and had players on it asking you not to join and politely communicating the purpose of them being there.

The irony is that there's nothing actually preventing a player from joining a kill party in PF when they know none of the fight either. There's just less of a consequence for the players who are actually engaging in the content because they simply de-instance and remove/blacklist the player that joined. In Forked Tower 48 other people are inconvenienced potentially for upward of 50 minutes waiting for the next tower spawn and blacklisting does not prevent that player from sniping again.

That is actually not true. I've met people who watched guides and went in and cleared content without having been in there. That is completely dependent on the said person.

This falls on the heads of the devs for designing this mess like that. It genuinely baffles me because they had it figured out with Bozja - CLL, Dal and DRN were very accessible, some parts even fostered communication and teamwork that could be handled through chat alone. For those who wanted a harder experience, there was DRS. You can use PF to go into it. The only change I would make considering how old the content is, is the 10 minute wait being slashed in half.

How the heck anyone thought making Forked Tower Extreme/lower-floor Savage difficulty was a good idea in the first place is beyond me. It should have had a Normal version. It should be able to queue for in PF. All this does is foster gatekeeping and anyone with a functioning brain could have seen this coming a mile away.

Sure you can say “even if you were willing to try they asked you nicely to let them do it without you and you didn’t listen”. Fair enough I wouldn’t even necessarily disagree

But OP is also willing to put in as much effort as they could and their performance shows they were never intentionally sandbagging

OP isn’t the problem here. I can disagree with their decision to still go ahead and stay on the platform when asked nicely and also admit they tried and that’s more than I can say for 99% of the snipers I got in my BA runs when I was a host

Ultimately this is squares fault. If you like the discords then attacking someone who tried their best when they got in isn’t getting you anyway. As a former BA host if the sniper tried then that’s all I asked from them and if you intentionally attacked a sniper then I always had more issue with you than the sniper
