Interested to what will be said, copium that they will actually have changes to either. (I don't expect much from CE until next version) This just proves to me though that the JP playerbase made a big enough stink about it.
Ahh - a classic 'Leeeroy Jenkins!' moment by the sounds of it!By the way, the worst random player I’ve encountered was completely silent on the island and refused to communicate with the team I was part of.
(A total of 49 people used entrance tickets..)
After entering the tower and watching the cutscene—yes, he was a first-timer, while our team’s goal was to clear the content—he immediately engaged the first boss.
At around 1 minute and 40 seconds, the remaining 47 of us were forcibly pulled into the fight by the system.
We had only about 2 minutes to identify which role was missing and decide who should replace them.
We decided to ignore it (it was knocked off the revolving door mechanism anyway).
It's not only the random players who end up as victims—in most cases, the entire team suffers as well. I hope everyone can recognize this from different perspectives.
The fact the tank intentionally killed the OP is the really messed up part, and that player should at least be suspended.
The OP got past the first boss without dying, so clearly they were putting in the effort. Saying "You won't be able to progress" and then PKing them so they can't even try is just shameful.
It isn't if you know how much effort goes into organizing the runs, and how much time it takes to get into the same instance, with mechanics inside where one player who doesn't know what they're doing can wipe everyone. Tank aiming a buster on the liability to remove them, especially when they refuse to communicate with the community holding the run is taking into consideration the time of the other 40+ players in there. The fact the tank intentionally killed the OP is the really messed up part, and that player should at least be suspended.

Again this isn't to blame either side, although the post itself from the OP as I stated before comes off as disingenuous and slanderous given my experience of people who come onto these forums to post about other players being in the wrong, and the way his screenshot looks, and the fact all the names were completely uncensored before they edited the post, but the fault of whichever dev greenlit the system to enter the raid.
This behavior is evil.
Done exactly like a bullying. If you support them, you are their minion.
No premades then, it would be the better approach and yes those people are very wrong at what they are doing and you should report each one of them.
Actually, OP could've only been cleaved by boss 2 TB if they weren't on position - which many have mentioned - because you are supposed to BE WITH THE GROUP. This isn't rocket science. So yeah, that's on them. If they're gonna snipe and not even look up mechanics and proceed to die, they shouldn't get raised. In fact, it's not bullying because they were politely told to step off the platform because of premade. And again, it's easier for 2 people to find a new instance than 48. "But nobody spontaneously does it". Exactly, so either respect people's prog and organizational efforts by not doing the content at all or go ahead and look around until you find an instance with 23 randoms who are willing to do tower with you.
/e: Or suck it up and join a discord.
You may as well ban pre-mades from entering savage content at that point
Sorry guys PF only and someone at a wildly different prog point with different expectations can join at any time
that is entire bs... Forked Tower is not even supposed to be in that direction, or for that sake that hard, and you are crazy about if it all is supposed to have being seen some dork with a mic making a video about the mechanics for this.
It is not Ex or Savage Content.
Forked 100% is extreme at the least, it requires a lot of coordination, one persons mistake can kill the entire raid, you need to organise minimum numbers of particular jobs and there is alot of coordinated movementthat is entire bs... This is mostly closely aligned to launch DRS which is generally agreed as ranging from a medium extreme to an easy savage depending on which particular boss you are discussing
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
