I was with the person who last got banned, in voice chat. I know what they said in say. Yes they said a naughty word in an adult game, but why him specifically targeted and not others who also said naughty words, including me?

Sorry but FFXIV is rated T in US, Pegi 16 in Europe (which is highest rating compared to others), 12 USK and CERO C.

So, yup, your friend aren't victims in this case. they probably offended a kid or a father/mother plaiing with it kid (and i know some) and got a deserved ban.
