But its funny to claim already that people are "homophobic" only because they misgender, im sorry for it but when someone joins a voice channel im in and soundes like a dude then yea then i call him "him" i have no time or patience to remember every person and his "gender" i dont even know the real names of my guild mates because i literally dont wanna bother and care about it, so you can expect from someone to gender "right" after all its literally a gender nothing more, it doesnt remove your identity or anything, if i count now as homophobic, so be it.

I have been call homophobic and I am Pansexual I always just roll with it at this point xx). Like you don't need to have anyone approval to be who you wanna be and not everyone will believe in it to.


But overall that is also a big why people get tired of the LGBTQIA+ community because of how intense they all are like dude. Live and Let live you know

@Granyala honestly most of them just want to be chill overall most evoide what is LGBTQIA stuff because we think it want way to far and well even ashamed to be part of it like reality is still a thing we cannot escape so let's live in peace and enjoy our gaming time. to be honest I don't want politics in 14 like our world politics into it because it is so annoying tho I have better debate about politics then LGBTQIA stuff too

Maybe it's because I play on Crystal, but I have never seen anyone say anything transphobic or homophobic, except for Mack on Balmung.

I've never had a GM call put in on me, but I've been temp banned here on the forums. And I know exactly what post I made that crossed the line, so I ain't even mad about it.

I'm the FC leader of a pretty large LGBTQ+ friendly guild on my server, and as a general rule we keep to FC chat with our banter to avoid anyone outside of our group tattling on us if we get a little raunchy, or to avoid what OP thinks is happening - targeted harassment from outside forces. I don't think any of us have been reported for in game issues, and we've been around since 2.0 launch.

I have to say that the amount of anti-LGBTQ rhetoric has been at a minimum in my experiences over the past 11 years of playing the game. I did have a player who told me to get AIDS and die f*g and I immediately reported it to a GM who did a fantastic job at handling the situation.

I'm not saying that there's no anti-LGBTQ issues, but I will say the GMs have been fantastic in my experiences.

Now whether or not the entire XIV community is supportive of LGBTQ+ experiences is an entirely different issue, but at least the GMs seem to have been on the side of equity and diversity.

I am going to get a lot of flak for this - but as a gay man and player of 12+ years, I've found this game's LGBT playerbase to be way overly sensitive and tend to get their panties in twist over the smallest of things. It's a lot of drama and blown out of proportion incidents with an "always the victim" mentality. Maybe since I am older, things roll off my back more. I don't know. But I feel there's this "we're always being targeted" story going on when most folks don't even care.

I won't give you any flack for this. I share the same observation. It's a collective mental disorder called 'siege mentality'. Reading up about it really helped me understand this a lot better.

I don't understand, many say FFXIV is the most friendly LGBT game in the industry ...... I never see anyone who is lgbt get harassed most people I know are afraid to say anything negative because we know LGBT is respected here.
