What this explayer now needs (and it's nothing to do with game play)

What this ex-player now needs, (I don't consider my someone who merely doesn't sub anymore, I now consider myself someone who fundamentally does not play what XIV is or offers)

...is nothing less, than for CB3, (probably Mr Yoshida Mr Naoki?) to look the the camera straight in the eye, and actually say
"we 'do' value, 'all' our types players, we recognise that we have lost some types of players in particular, and we will be trying to win you 'all' back"
In my language. I need to 'feel' they are talking to this player type.
Anything less than this will be taken by me as confirmation by SE, that they do not think my player type should be playing, and are not going to be returning to investing in making the game for my player type ever again.

Only then I might start to take a genuine interest in what XIV is doing in the coming year plus. The only interest I have now is a morbid curiosity in seeing how XIVs transformative decline plays out, and for the entirely selfish reasons of personal validation.

As usual this is not because I egotistically want personal attention from CB3, it is because I 'might' not be the only one who believes that CB3 genuinely aren't interested in making the game for people 'like' me anymore, and without that declaration, any criticism of gameplay I see in social media or public forums, will forevermore be confirmation that non-white-knight truth is that the game is still rubbish. And of course, there always 'will' be criticism.

Of course if they ever do though... I probably won't get to know about it. But this hasn't been about my particular 'case' for a while.

When other MMOs address their issues starting from the present. Here we have the devs just throwing that line ambiguously, and when the "future" they promised arrives, then it arrives with a disappointment, and another: "We received your feedback and are working on it. Please look forward to it in a year or two"

Yeah, but nothing wort mentionning. There is one question but the answer are limited. There is no "I don't like the direction the game is going" or anything close to that. The closest thing is "I did everything that I liked/wanted to do", which is not untrue but leave the whole negative part out. There is no free option either.

Basically it's all useless, because those can't express any kind of negative opinion with the anwers to that one single question they ask.

If there's one thing I stopped "looking forward to" (gosh I started to HATE that phrase) is whatever they have for jobs in 8.0.

We look forward to something based on a more immediate reference. And all we have now is the decline that started shy in Shadowbringers, but plummeted in Dawntrail, of job complexity. And is not like an outlier of a 'missed beat' because it truly feels like they think that is the best for the game, as it happened progressively with several examples.

How I can look forward to jobs in 8.0 if the team that is doing that is the same one that lobotomized Black Mage 2 months ago?

It's for the best if they prove in 8.0 that I'm completely wrong about this.

Doubt 8.0 is going to be any good, theyd have to rework every job from ground up for me to be what they claim they will be which I doubt as all their money go toward retaining dead games

This honestly, like brother the obsession with this game, constantly posting about how terrible the game is, what would help make the game "good for you", this game isnt for you, just move on already. You keep telling us every month you're leaving, and yet you always come back. Every. Single. Month.
