Why can't you finish seasonal quests you've already started?

Like it says in the title. I understand seasonal quests being time limited, but the NPCs shouldn't just disappear and leave it unable to be completed. I can go back and do seasonals from the past that I've completed in new game plus so I doubt this is a spaghetti code thing..... so why?

Because its what you already said its a LIMITED event, so if you really not be able to finish the quest when most of the LIMITED SEASONAL Events are up 2 Weeks then its really your own fault

True ! After all SE is a pretty small indie company, they dont have to money to offer phasing just so people can finish their quests ! And why would they ? They got people like you to defend them!

they phase so many other quests... why is it hard to believe they could phase this? i honestly don't see why allowing people to complete a quest after they accept it even if the event is over is a bad idea. people have lives, they're busy. to you, 2 weeks might be a long time, but to others, it might not be enough time. if anything, allowing them to complete it a week or so after the event is over is better than not at all :x

all games are like that tho if you don't finish it well delete it because it will not come back. it isn't only a SE thing

These quests 99% of the time take 5 minutes to complete as well...
If that is a lot of time for you in 2 weeks maybe mmo's just aren't for you. Like sorry, but not sorry

God forbid people are not at home for an event while still paying their subscription, some people might be in hospital helping a loved one, or travelling abroad temporarily, or any other reason.

But in typical FFXIV community fashion, people come at the defense of SE instead of simply understanding that most other game companies use phasing for cases exactly like this, and it uses basically no resources as it's only triggered when needed.

Keep encouraging SE's shortcomings though, go you.

Yea i defend it because im fine with the state of it you know why? because i do everything in the game from ultimates to savage even casual triple triad, im not such a crybaby which does only 5% of the content and then cries "there is nothing to do"

I really dont know what you dont get? I mean you are blaming me because i defend the Game, but why wouldnt i defend a game i like?

btw for your other example "what when someone is not at home or is travelling" blablabla, how can he accept then the quest? 95% of the events are a matter of 2-3min if you cant spare 2-3min to finish quick a event sorry i say it again its a YOU PROBLEM and you shouldnt complain about something which is clearly YOUR own fault
