I don’t know anything about scaling or the like but I still really dislike that like 90% of the phantom abilities are set-and-forget cool downs. Like, why are they so allergic to spellcasting? Why do you still have this mechanic in your game if you’re so against ever actually utilising it? I mean, even Comet is clearly supposed to be used with Quick or Swiftcast (idk if it’s a dps loss or gain otherwise but still lol).

Also what is up with Occult Heal? Knights couldn’t heal in FFV Yoshi this is sacrilege! Plus it’s so expensive (50% MP cost for like, less than a Cure II?). Why are ok with Phantom Bard/Monk/Samurai but not a Phantom White Mage with actual healing spells that aren’t limited by consumables? Hell they could even give it a Lucid Dreaming equivalent so melee/phys ranged/tanks that aren’t PLD/DRK have a means of MP management. And like would it really so bad if there was a cast-able Phantom Raise spell as a counterpart to Revive being an oGCD? Revive would still massively outclass it anyway (they really wanted people to use Phantom Chemist lol).

It could’ve had potential but the whole thing feels like a wasted opportunity to me. Yes I’m pretty sure I said that before but now I’m saying it again lol
