Why can't you finish seasonal quests you've already started?

You can not finish a seasonal quest that you have started after the seasonal event has ended because after the season passes, both the seasonal event and the season itself have ended.

Almost like OP was asking for a way to finish the quest after the event has passed, aka phasing like in any other game.

Like it says in the title. I understand seasonal quests being time limited, but the NPCs shouldn't just disappear and leave it unable to be completed. I can go back and do seasonals from the past that I've completed in new game plus so I doubt this is a spaghetti code thing..... so why?

God forbid people are not at home for an event while still paying their subscription, some people might be in hospital helping a loved one, or travelling abroad temporarily, or any other reason.

But in typical FFXIV community fashion, people come at the defense of SE instead of simply understanding that most other game companies use phasing for cases exactly like this, and it uses basically no resources as it's only triggered when needed.

Keep encouraging SE's shortcomings though, go you.

If I remember correctly, the Sneaky Hollow special area from the Saints' Wake event has been available every year (since its addition in 2022). It's an area that's similar to the Starlight Stalls, so I'd say chances are pretty high for it to be a permanent addition to the event.

I hope so! They have been pretty decent with keeping both of the Halloween areas there.

The quests quite literally takes 2-5 minutes to complete.
And no, you're not entitled to rewards.
