More shortbows for BRD

The number of shortbows as compared to longbows in game is laughable. We have gotten a grand total of two shortbows since ARR—the Palaka shortbow and its reskin, the Ceremonial shortbow. The rest have ALL been longbows.

It's established in the very first archer class quest that longbows are the traditional choice of Wildwood archers, while shortbows were used by Keepers of the Moon. I understand that maybe longbows might be easier to design flashier weapons for, but I can't help but feel a lack of options for my traditional Keeper archers' weapon choice. Like, I know it's a non-issue, but it bothers me, okay, and sometimes I get desperate enough to post on the forums about issues that bother me and absolutely no one else.

I glamour verdant bow and bow of owls' all the time + weathered bow and it's plumed versions. It'd be extra fun to have shortbow thats from beyond ARR.

The benefit of the current shortbows is that they are simple and elegant (I also adore the verdant bow, bow of owls, and the plumed bows) but sometimes you want a glowy showoff weapon like the longbows get too.

I'm not a bard player or anything (I have it leveled to 100 but I don't play it much now), so maybe my voice will be a little insignificant but, yeah, we really do need more shortbows. Honestly, we need more simple and relatively smaller weapons overall. I love stupid stuff like the Electric Guitar Bow or the Phantom Doohickey Penumbrae or the various staffs that are some degree of Eyeball-on-a-Stick, but simple stuff often just works better with more designs.

I agree short bows are better and most bow designs (like most other weapons but especially bows) are ludicrous

I completely agree that the shortbows are more elegant. Nothing bad to the longbow fans but yes, we do need more shortbow designs.
