so I will start of with something simple and I am sure alot of player will agree.

we critic the game not because we hate it but because we love it and wanna see it become the better version of itself.Yes we get tired of things something and well the community can be a hit or miss but not because someone critic the game that mean the game need defending either.

we express thing as all human does you might not agree something with those critic but try to put yourself in the other person shoes. Like you all we all pay a sub we want content we want to grind thing but sometime it can be the worst and kinda horrendous to. I don't say that everyone is perfect but overall we all want one thing and it's to have fun have our time respected and well with how life is expensive and well horrible. We at the end want to mostly escape such with video game.

Most seem to have forgotten that we also are on the internet interacting with people that have different belief and well life.

At the end of the day we all want fun without politics left and right just to chill relax and have fun so I will say this!

I might be a asshole sometime but remember I love FF14 I made great memories and made some friends some stayed other have left. I log in for my love to the game and I don't want it to die after all this is a piece of art. sometime we want to burn it but other time we just well love it.

Honestly I just critique in the spirit of debate.

I have a better chance of winning the lottery back-to-back than what there is with critique being actioned in a genuine good design, or even an acceptable one.

the problem with unite to improve the game is what you want to improve the game might be what makes it worse for me, things like viera/horth hats more glamours ect can more easily be agreed upon but things like what makes content good or what's fun or not fun is very subjective someone who doesnt want the game harder will not be happier with the overworld having bite but someone who does will neither are wrong but the game isn't better or worse for it in say that scenario.

so while it will be nice to unite a lot of stuff will always just be circle arguments due to how someone wants the game to be.

Criticism is a good thing this game deserves a lot of criticism honestly, I don't think the game is in a good state job design wise. Theirs room for compromise up until the point someone spouts a harmful opinion, which has happened a lot on threads lately.

The problem is a lot of my criticism is actually grounded in gameplay and things that effect gameplay, while what I disagree with generally speaking is people arguing that we should have glamourer restrictions because of some weird reason that makes no sense (stuff like that)

The main issue is that 99% of those topics come out as venting and crying because something doesn't suit you or your play style, god forbid, and everyone should know about it.

If the feedback were actually given in a balanced and reasonable way, while talking about both the positives and negatives and the impact they have in the short term as well as the long term, I doubt people would see many faults in that. However, the vast majority is bitching about something and wanting something that this game never provided or never was.

If the feedback were actually given in a balanced and reasonable way, while talking about both the positives and negatives and the impact they have in the short term as well as the long term, I doubt people would see many faults in that. However, the vast majority is bitching about something and wanting something that this game never provided or never was.

If the feedback were actually acknowledged and in a sensible way whilst discussing how it fits into their games direction, and not just telling people if they want compelling gameplay then they should do xyz (because they can't be bothered finding a healthy medium outside of that content), then I doubt many of the players critiquing the game would see many issues in that. However, the vast majority of the feedback has demonstrably fallen onto deaf ears, including that which is well written, discussing the positives, negatives and the impact of it.

When you spend the better part of 6-7 years providing feedback to the game, just to have it ignored, fall on deaf ears, or completely dismissed outright, then yeah, most feedback will eventually turn into anything but criticality, because seemingly they have done anything but suggest they actually care about the feedback (or that it is even being passed on), and as far as community engagement goes... Well, let's not talk about that because the only time we get it, is when we get the "I'm not annoyed at you, I am just disappointed speech" about third party tools.

If they aren't prepared to discuss it themselves, and if they aren't willing to engage with it properly then they should not be telling people to leave feedback on a forum in the first place, because this is what results in what you're seeing on the General Discussion.

But based on how confident you are, I can safely assume that you're a legacy player, and that you have read all of the feedback presented, or do you just sit on a small bunch of threads and pretend this is the only feedback that has ever been presented?
