The SE method is take note and "fix" things with next expansion. EW proved that. If it's not the right fix, wait next expansion. EW problems were only recognized during DT promotion.

This is the main problem of the game. While it's not really a good thing to follow everything the players want, the fact that they don't even bother answering criticisms (unless its at a melting point) or fixing issues before the next expansion. Just reeks of them pipelining things on a factory line and covering their eyes and ears from any critique because they simply CANT fix it anymore.
There is 0 transparency or roadmaps or anything until the content is already out, and you're supposed to keep paying for this absolute MYSTERY BOX on a monthly basis.

While this comment might have been a slight exaggeration, I actually think this could be true. Like...FF14 is almost 12 years old now, 15 if you count from 1.0. And FF11 was 9 years old when FF14 1.0 came out.

Maybe they are already developing the next Final Fantasy MMO as a successor to 14. I mean...it is possible. On the other hand, MMORPGs are a dying genre, so they probably don't want to invest in this anymore.

Doesn't change that it feels like they are slowly abandoning a big chunk of the player base, not caring if we are still subbing or quitting.

Duh, of course they have to pretend to fix problems to shill the new expansion, otherwise less people will buy.

Thats not really a SE problem, Its a problem within the Japanese Culture. They simply cant admit that they messed up with something.

Honestly, it's more likely not a problem on the JP servers so that means nothing will be done about it.
