Why make Priority weapons when the system already does a lot?

Because people like to help each other. It's an agreement that if someone gets a weapon you want, they agree to give you that weapon as long as you agree to do the same for them. It raises the chances of you getting the weapon you want, as long as everyone in the party agrees.

I understand that, what I am asking is why do ppl wanna do this when less than like half of FFXIV players are trustworthy.
