    the game does not detect my account/progress

    Hello, I need help with the following, I did a cleanup on my pc so I reinstalled the game from steam but now it does not detect my progress, it starts as a completely new game.

    check lodestone and I can still see my character.
    trying to buy from the store still lets me select my character, but when I start the game it starts as if I had never played before.

    have you checked your game is connected on the right DC by default. It's possible that by default, you chose another DC, so the game doesn't detect you characters. To change DC, you go in the top right corner the character selection screen, choose "world list", and change your dc.

    Ty so much, but i think i solve this, looks like windows duplicate my documents folder, and the game take the new one so didn't read the correct one and make new files, rn reinstaling game and hope all works now

    characters are stocked server side, so it's 100% not that. That using your DC as the default one is an option stocked on the your computer, so if (emphasis on if) it's due to the problem I mentionned, what you're trying to do should fix it anyway.
