I also don't think they do it any favors having it in its own section in PF. If it were in High End content, then it's possible more people would join just out of curiosity.
I have an actually funny story about that (not actually funny). I queued for the criterion mode by mistake for Rokkon when it released, instead of the base Variant. I got an instant queue, got in with 3 other people, and I went "oopsie" in my mind, then went on. After people saw what it was about, they all left lol.

I want to... but YP mentioned at some point they were happy with the model, so there wouldn't be major innovations. Which is a turn down for me because the formula repeated a fourth time? More pomanders with just a few new ones?... A new gimmick instead of the clones. Heck, even on a tangent, EO's story was lacking for me. Did we need the DD be yet another Allagan, Crystal Tower storyline? If they wanted a 'high-tech' setting, there's the perfect narrative: Abandoned Garlean facility, could even explore the origins of the Black Rose, which shamefully was dealt with off-screen.

What I wanted to see in a new DD:
    - Less, but horizontally bigger, floors.
    - Different common layouts instead of just being boxed quadrants.
    - Ditch Pomanders and make a new power system.

Additionally, for the old DDs, would be great to make a scoreboard and solo achievements for Blue Mages. Instead of their common spells, for the sake of better balancing, make an exclusive spellbook for each old DD that you obtain through your climb, from bosses, common enemies or rare chest drops.

    Honestly: No.

I assume it will be the same 'more of the same content' as always. I have zero interest in another Deep Dungeon, after Eureka Orthos was (in my opinion) so boring. But it's just how I feel about it.

I’m most likely going to do it, I enjoyed the previous ones and how the mobs on higher floors were threatening. I think eo and the do it right or die philosophy is less engaging than having a bit of leeway, but with less spongey enemies on the lower floors I think I wouldn’t mind another iteration on that. Particularly if they use eureka/bozja style actions/banners as a power system instead of sala/manders of steel/strength/etc

I’m not holding my breath for it though.

Same. Especially with the Garlemald Empire considered almost criminally underexplored in Endwalker, I was expecting that to be where the 3rd DD went. And I'd have been all for a progression system that involves stolen tech and craftables. Build a mech. Stim oneself, risking self-damage for vast temporary power, or just constant new abilities or capacities at cost to max (e)HP. Replace permanent (for the duration of the run) damage with prosthetics if we wanted to go really dark.

But instead we got something somehow duller than PotD.

I doubt the new deep dungeon will be anything revolutionary. What I think they should do though is adjust the level of entry so it is the same for all of them save for PotD. I think it's kind of silly you have to be 80/90 (can't remember lol) to enter Eureka Orthos and probably its biggest detriment as it locks lower level players out who might want to tackle this content earlier in the game's lifecycle.

No, not really. It will be same copy+paste content because God forbids that devs go with a different path or formula. They must strictly follow that one formula of creating something.

I did solo Potd after 9th try because I would continuously die to Bahamut panic mode, spent hours there but I did it. Hoh seems incredibly easy, even as a starter with warrior, you can reach up to floor 61 with low gear. It just seems the easiest out of them all.
Orthos on the other feels like a big sponge chore of enemies, incredibly frustrated one-shot mechanics because "you didn't read the guide oops, gotcha". Bosses that are like savage mode. Straight boring one and hard to even find players for it.

So no, new DD won't be anything exciting.

Yeah that's the unfortunate thing. They could have Variant as the more casual, Criterion a step up, and then Savage for the 4-man Savage version. You'd see a lot more people trying it out if they streamlined the difficulty curve some.
