Howling Eye (Hard) done but quest didn't update

Hello All

One question: I have the quest "A Relic Reborn" opened, at step requiring to do the Howling Eye (Hard) as a summoner.

I did it 5 minutes ago. It's confirmed with the usual green mark in the duty finder. Although that, the quest didn't update! The log still shows that I have to do that trial to progress.

Any idea what is happening or/and what I can do?

Edited for an add: I apply now again to redo it via the duty finder, let's see. I keep you posted.

Sorry for double posting, but to follow up on the issue: The second time I redid the trial worked! Will probably never know why the first time didn't.

It is really odd for it to happen again. I didn't experience it when I've gone through the story on alts. It could be a recent issue, but I've also not seen bug reports for it.

It's good forum practice to leave resolved problems up, because someone else in the future might have your same problem and see that running the duty again fixed it for them.


Anyway, this might not have been what was wrong with your game but it's worth knowing for the future. A lot of duties teleport you somewhere the first time you do them, and then mark your quest objective complete after arriving there and possibly watching a cutscene. If something prevents that teleport, like a network error or disconnect, the objective doesn't get marked complete. In that case, simply traveling to the destination zone manually will trigger any pending cutscenes and objective completions. If you're not sure where a duty drops you after its first completion and you want to go there directly instead of running the duty again, ask the /novice channel and someone there should know the answer.
