Gabriel Mark III in OCC

So why is this rare mount from DR in OCC? Especially as a drop from a damn bronze/silver coffer?
They literally removed 1 of the 3 reasons to run DR, why couldn't they just recolor this mount into purple or pink and call it a day? It would be the bare minimum and people would still complain yes, but this is just awful corner cutting like they're some sort of a small indie company.

What's next, copycat bulb being sold for a few dozen gold pieces or elemental armor of fending as a "rare" drop from the gold chests.

I really hope this is a one time thing.

Occult has crashed the market on pretty much everything from Bozja and eureka it seems. It has to be en error or something because rare mounts are given out like candy

It's like the Moogle Treasure Trove, they're giving out old stuff basically for free because it's old and most people don't care.

It would have been much better if they at least limited the rare mounts to gold chests. It's insane that I got a Gabriel Mk III from a bronze chest and then multiple times I've gotten a gold chest from a pot that just had materia and ribbons.

I ran DR many many times and never got it, I couldn't care that they've released old stuff as common loot.

If you really want to get annoyed by rare mounts having their prices cratered - the Deinonychus mount, which originally you could only get as a very rare drop from Dalriada, is also in these chests. That thing used to sell for over 20m gil... now it's down to 600k. I got it from a chest myself and while I'm glad I don't have to farm Dal for it or fork out the gil... it doesn't really feel like as much of an achievement to own now. Pretty much the market for almost everything of value that's in that loot table has tanked - Eureka/Bozja mounts, rare crafted glams, hairs, minions...


But also, I'm not really surprised - the devs seem to have a mindset of "the patch cycle is over, this content no longer exists in our minds, there's no reason for us to preserve the value or rarity of anything exclusive to it" when it comes to things like this, despite the fact that older field ops are still very active (albeit not right now obviously) with dedicated communities.
Meanwhile, things like the Night Pegasus are still only exclusive to Deep Dungeon loot (and the GC gacha boxes but the droprate is so low you could go your entire time playing the game never getting it from that), because that seems to be the only sort of content the devs want people to do or care about pushing people towards.
