Absolutely no more new races please

Sorry that you're having to read yet another thread about it. Someone has to say it though. The community needs to show restraint if Yoshi P is going to just hand them the reins here.

Viera and Hrothgar still can't wear the vast majority of hats, and every new race that gets added is going to add more for SE to keep up with.

I'm happy they're giving us female hroths, rounding out the races we have, but it's completely impractical to keep expanding the list of playable races eternally. It will come at a cost to every existing race as quality eventually starts to drop. Let's be happy and appreciate the races that we have currently.

We need community pushback against this. New races are like new jobs. They'd be a huge announcement for a new expansion, and someone at SE is aware of this. Even after Dawntrail they are likely going to look for community support for new races because these races are marketable regardless of the workload they might create for the devs. Please be reasonable and deny them that support for it, let them focus on other content and additions.

No. They don’t have to come immediately next expansion, but new races shouldn’t be off the table. It can be a healthy way to revitalize an mmo long into its lifecycle. Times change, and new ideas of aesthetics become popular.

Next expansion should absolutely focus on character customization before any new races are added. I 100% agree with this point that fans make on this forum, but I don’t agree when they instantly say that not having any races added in the future solves this problem for them. We can DELAY new races and focus on other improvements that are needed, and then get back to them later when It is a better time to do so.

For the current time being I don't think it should happen. Maybe by 10.0.

When we do eventually get new races added to the game I do not believe the community should even be choosing in any form. I know that's likely a very unpopular idea, but I don't believe there's a far way to pick out what is popular and what isn't. Reddit and even these very forums get brigaded.

SE needs to figure out what they want to add at those times on their own and listen to feedback on what they offer instead. It's healthier for them to work within their own schedule on that anyways.

Yes. I like the Female big cat, and I'm happy they are here ; but new races shouldn't be mandatory. I would prefer they spend this time on new mecanics, new activities, and to rework some roles (healer, PLEASE).

I mean the person in charge of new races isn't handling mechanics, activities and reworking roles.

True true, but in general the budget is calculated for the whole game. If we assign X number of people to graphics / aesthetic addition, they're rarely pure additions; rather, they're people we don't assign to other departments.
