    thief has that skill to get you more loot. is there another use except gold coins?
    it doesnt work on fates, CE's and experience, right?

    i've seen groups wanting to have a thief in their farming group but it s single target and has a 30s cooldown.
    it doesnt seem good enough to chose this over something that makes the farming go faster / more stable.


    is the only use of it when you farm gold coins solo?

    That's punishing the wrong people. The fault for why Discords think they're entitled to claim this content is because SE's design allows it. This is entirely at SE's feet. We don't need to bring in more toxicity toward each other. SE isn't going to see the numbers of people in a Discord. They will see completion numbers.

    That aside, it's typically the main tank who pulls that uses Ph.Thief. Their main method is kiting 5-8 mobs a pull then hit Swift towards the end of the pull so that all mobs will be bunched up together trying to AA the main tank to no avail while the rest of the party bombard the crowd to death. No invuln needed. A healer or two is still required to keep them healthy while pulling. Otherwise not much of a difference vs the invuln circle j3rk strat but somehow less restrictive because that alleviates 4-5 slots that's typically locked to WARs/tanks.

    Are discords that "think they are entitled to claim this content" in this room with us right now?

    It is not casual delubrum normal raid where you can just go blind into trap and get ressed afterwards wtih 100% chance of clearing even at giga slow pace if you have bad players in instance. You need specific amount of specific phantom jobs to clear whole raid. You need at least 6 tanks just for tank busters etc. No it is not even 4th savage floor grinding teeth week1 in pf type of a content, you just need a lot of preparation to enter.

    Their own design creates an issue where sniper can mostly just grief raid out of tank/healer and some phantom job (since sniper is entitled to play phantom sam you know). Sniper can also just wipe entire raid either for fun (trap) or oops i only watched first boss guide. Not to mention that getting entire raid in instance is pain for no reason.

    If anything, "casuals" should storm square everywhere in internet for no normal raid version and no 48 man alliance pf system for forked tower. ( just the latter tbh would have solved instance prog and allowed EVERYONE prog this content already)

    I'm enjoying it!! I have yet to do the forked tower (and not sure if I ever will any time soon as it might be too hard for my taste), but I love the phantom jobs and the whole concept/fantasy of the whole place is just fun.
    - The ability to sync with people to still earn Knowledge XP/job XP is a massive boon for cooperating with people.
    - Being able to swap your main job on the fly and your phantom job is just so versatile!
    - The zone itself is pretty to roam/look at and not having to worry about limited casts of abilities like logos feels nicer to me.
    - The addition of open world chests very much encourages roaming around every now and then to get goodies.
    - Having separate currencies for regular monster farming and CEs/FATEs means both are necessary for your progression so people would engage in doing both as opposed to just one or the other.

    One of the downsides right now that I can think about is that I must've leveled knowledge a bit too quickly and now the weekly challenges are a bit pointless except for the bonus phantom job XP.

    I know it might sound really controversial, but out of all the three field ops, OC is probably my favorite. <3

    I agree Forked Tower requirements are as shitty as everyone else thinks it is but you can't blame discord servers on this, because i can promise you your average pug is not going in and clearing this. I don't know why they couldn't have made a normal version to go along with it.

    It's not really Discord's fault. It's the team's fault for thinking content like this was going to actually going to work with most people.

    I am curious, where does this actually get into play? Fates and CEs are knowledge level agnostic, and gold farming is usually done at lvl20, and even if people wanted to farm mobs at lower level and take advantage of that sync, they'd still have to deal with the chains breaking all the time when someone levels up. On top of it, people just go for CEs and silver coin content (which is knowledge level agnostic) precisely because that's where their atmas drop from.

    It seems like this (and a lot of other things like slow on time mage, stun on samurai and a few others) was designed in a way that it was imagined that people would kinda move around and feel out different things, chaining single mobs with odd level arrangements and using any job they had available, seeing which mob could be hit by what thing and so on which is actually kinda how it worked for like 2 days before everything gold coalesced around canoneer and tanks rendering field utility useless

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
