Probably another demiatma criticism post - with a story

Not gonna lie I have a 0 issue with the relic grind/rng, in fact id love more of it. Really my 1 but MASSIVE issue with this relic is that its basically useless... Even if you dont raid, at the same ilv most of the Queenknights weapons are better statted, not to mention tome weapons. I just genuinely HATE relic being reduced to "cheap unimaginative catch up weapons..."

As others have said, farming atmas in OC seems to be the more efficient option. Sure overworld FATES die faster than CEs and not many FATES and CE pop up at a time in OC but even if you weren't done with the atma step, your friends can continue to level their phantom jobs along with you. A similar thing happened with me and my husband. He said he was going to take a break after he finished his atma step. He finished it two days ago while I still haven't. He didn't end up taking a break because he decided to keep leveling his phantom jobs while breaking up the monotony by looking for chests/carrots/ressing people. It's funner this way and I don't think we'd finish it any faster either way.

There is a Map of South Horn that show which color drops where, also both fates and CE's in South Horn drops the atmas, it is region based, so you get quite the amounts of attempts all the time.

Telling them to simply take it slow is simply absolving the dev team of poor decision choices. We already waited two full patches only to be told we needed to wait another couple months and now people are supposed to take their slow and wait yet again?

I'm not exactly defending SE here. I had my own complaints about the relic. I don't even think you're wrong about Dawntrail's lack of content or the attitude that crops up in response to anyone pointing it out, but I just don't think those are the things at play in this particular thread. It's not like OP is saying "I've already obtained every relic and done everything there is to do in Occult Crescent, and now I'm bored", and then I came in to tell them they should've rationed their content more carefully or some such. It sounds like OP had been hoping to spend less time collecting demiatma, not more.

The intended takeaway from my post wasn't that people need to adjust their pace to match the patch cycle. Rather, it was that they shouldn't feel obligated to play in a way they find unpleasant just for the sake of completing content as quickly as possible... especially in this case, where doing so is seemingly less time-efficient than taking the path of least resistance.
