Criticism is a good thing this game deserves a lot of criticism honestly, I don't think the game is in a good state job design wise. Theirs room for compromise up until the point someone spouts a harmful opinion, which has happened a lot on threads lately.
The problem is a lot of my criticism is actually grounded in gameplay and things that effect gameplay, while what I disagree with generally speaking is people arguing that we should have glamourer restrictions because of some weird reason that makes no sense (stuff like that)

FFXIV top raised issues:
“Hats on Viera”
“Dress X is clipping my cat girls modded d..k”
“Hats on Viera”
“Barbie costume X on store when?”
“Can we get NPC X’s hairstyle?”
“Can’t get a house”
“Hats on Viera”
This game isn’t going anywhere.
If these are the top raised issues (which I doubt), wouldn't that actually be a good thing? It would indicate that game breaking issues aren't prevalent enough to be the top reported problems.

More like that most people stopped caring about the gameplay or weren't even interested in it from the beginning. A lot of people misuse this as some sorta second life game and the devs are fully aware of that. I mean, I don't want to insult anyone but if you get into a virtual line to attend a virtual club in an imaginary virtual neighborhood then you need counseling and/or a job and money.

If they want to spend their sub playing dress up and going to virtual clubs, who are we to stop them? I don't do clubbing, but I am a roleplayer (though I do content as well, primarily crafting and occasional raiding, plus MSQ as it comes out), and if I want to spend my time in the game socializing, there's nothing wrong with that. Every MMO has a scene like that (WoW, GW2, ESO all have RP communities, and WoW's is even bigger than FFXIV's), so I'm not sure why you're acting like this is a misuse of the game when every MMORPG is like this.More like that most people stopped caring about the gameplay or weren't even interested in it from the beginning. Thats only on the NA side and they don't care what we have to say

Try criticize the game in jp forum. The mods will delete them in a flash 24/7.
Unfortunately they only accept praise as feedback.
Case in point, JP's Cosmic Exploration zones are dead in the water now after a suggestions thread to make it more fun and interesting was locked and deleted without warning.
They too are now experiencing the exact same kind of treatment we endure in regards to our feedback and criticism and many are not happy about it.
Classical "Lets all get along!" voice of reason cope post after being put on the spot to defend opinions they willingly posted.
