Demiatma drop rates are unacceptable

Honestly I don’t care though… I just hate the RNG factor being attached. Give me a book with a checklist, and I’m fine with that… tedious but measurable progress, that’s a grind.

Between having to either spend 10+ hours grinding the most boring damage sponge bosses I've ever seen or having to spend potentially longer grinding regular FATEs, this grind is just absolutely miserable. I don't mind it being a grind. What I do mind is that the grind itself is just not fun, plus introducing RNG to the mix is just a terrible idea.

It's about the freedom of it. Technically you could've under the old Endwalker system run only new content and still worked towards it while someone who didn't jive with the new content could do old content and still work towards it. It was a much better system. It was just handled poorly.

Sorry but hard disagree there. It was a non-existent system in EW. And you don't have to run OC technically to even get your relic so there is quite a bit of freedom for how you obtain the Dawntrail relic. I mean, sure, It's not as free as doing Wondrous Tails once and then being done for the next couple months. At that point if you don't want to do Fates/Level Jobs/Shared Fates/Bi-Color Gemstones all at once or you don't want to do OC/Hairstyles/Glamours/Mounts then that's a lot of content to choose to not engage in, which is fine! It is optional and extra content at the end of the day.

I’ll be honest I’d much more prefer a higher number required with guaranteed drop chances (like for example with SB).

This grind is just too random for me, in one zone I got one every 2-3 fates while in the other zone I’ve done 15 fates without a single one dropping.
Same with CE drops I got 7 of one type in a row while only 3 are needed. It would be nice if they were exchangeable.

No joke, I'm actually holding onto the additional candies I got. I'm too scared for the devs to pull another middlefinger and actually tell us next step that you can use them for whatever devilish thing they would come up with. The player outrage would be colossal, but I still don't trust them one bit.
And in the case they actually do listen to your ideas for exchanging them, which I do appreciate, then keeping my useless candies will be sound anyway.

As a casual, the max hours I had spent farming demiatmas were only 30 hours spread out over 8 days, so I thought it could've been worse like the ARR atma stage (2%) vs (5%).

Also, OC has a 20% drop rate from CE, as mentioned, so you would only need to run them 100x to finish most of them in a week.

I really am dreading to start that Relic after months of hiatus tbh.

I do not like mindless Fategrinding and if the riding map is seriously required to get to CEs in time before they are deleted in seconds I fear this might be the first Relic I will skip.

I'm keeping them until the next OC update with their new jobs. Who knows what they could use them. Or maybe even the second area if they choose to recycle them who knows. I'm not taking any risk.
