You can criticize something without being rude and insulting people. I understand the frustration, but it just detracts from your point and is a waste of time and energy for everyone involved.

I can understand the frustration. I did the first step with 3 characters. First one, took me 2 weeks(playing 8-10 hours a day) to get my atmas. 2nd character took me 6 weeks!!! And i've start my 2nd alt around the same time, i'm over 3months and still missing 3 demi-atmas. i've been lvl 20 since first week, max out 4-5 phantom jobs, spend 5 days in kozamauka without getting a single stone(not the only one...i had the same dude in my team for 3 days in a row, none of us got a single atma).

Again I’m still not sure how you can say that this grind is incredibly unfair and beyond reasonable expectations when you still haven’t reached level 20. Something that was so common day one auroral mirages spawned as early as 3-4 hours after the content launched
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
Do I need to get to level 20 to prove that to you? When I do and I don't have 18 Demiatmas are you gonna give me a prize?
It's just bad. It doesn't feel rewarding at all as a zone. It's boring. I don't have to be level 20 to tell you that, but if it makes you feel better I'll get to level 20 so I can say the same things I have been saying about it.
Fuck I got 3 levels to get 8 fucking EIGHT demiatmas. The grind in front of me oh my lord. I need to speak from authority about how fucking awful a grind feels.

It’s not about having 18 demiatma’s at knowledge level 20. It’s the fact that whatever your actual opinion on OC you can’t really claim an “excessive” or “oppressive” grind when more people than not got knowledge level 20 in barely 3-4 hours when OC first came outDo I need to get to level 20 to prove that to you? Like hell you already have 10 and you aren’t even at 20, you are actually well above average on luck, you are fine to hate OC but this isn’t any sort of “bad” grind

Above all else it feels bad. The rates suck. It feels like I am accomplishing nothing while I am accomplishing something. That's how bad it is.It’s not about having 18 demiatma’s at knowledge level 20. I don't know why you keep turning this into ad hominems when the problems people have are with things that don't need to have completed it to get an opinion about it? And why you are defending this in the first place? What do you have to gain out of it?It’s not about having 18 demiatma’s at knowledge level 20. Secretly had a crush on Mao

I’m not turning this into an ad hominem attack. This person is an extremely frustrated by the grind, calling it ridiculous. I’m pointing out that by the standards of the contents own design (that in another comment they said the levelling was fine) that it isn’t any sort of significant grind. I’m not saying they can’t have an opinion on the design of the atma step. I’m saying saying it’s a ridiculous grind is itself ridiculous
Like I’ve said in every comment. If you hate OC then fine, I don’t particularly like it either, but crashing out over a “grind” that’s decently easy to do in 3-4 hours just feels; idk maybe lazy is the correct word

I haven't done much in OC I actually love Eureka but this I just did not really feel much about it. I did begin the relic quest and I somehow have managed to acquire 3 of the atma but then I went and did some fates >.< outside of OC and got nothing at all and I was solo it was taking ages and got nothing for my time at all.
I do not mind a grind but the RNG seems to be bad for me at least and at this rate I doubt I will get what I need to progress.
I will give it another go and read up a little, but from what I am reading it does seem to be a issue. I am unsure to be in OC or out in the world doing fates.

What's the big deal about being level 20? I'm pretty sure that doesn't increase the demiatma drop rate. Also, I've spent considerably more than "3-4 hours" in OC and just dinged 18 last night, so I guess I'm doing something wrong. On the plus side, I got my first Realgar demiatma! If this pace continues, maybe I can finish this step before GTA6 comes out. Look, I don't have the time or desire to spend 8 hours a day grinding OC and FATEs. I understand, and am comfortable with, the fact that my progression will be a little slower. That being said, this is still a boring slog that's only getting worse as I collect enough of other types of demiatma. I don't want to do FATEs or CEs in half the map now because I don't get anything useful out of it.
After seeing the requirements for the second step, I realized that the devs are just riding the fence on this--there is a one-time grind for the people who like that sort of thing, and a tomestone pay-to-win part for everyone else. Once again, they are trying to please everyone by doing the safe, boring thing, instead of innovating and coming with something new and unique.
