I said it in another thread aswell, SE's lazyness in this regard is spreading. Miqo ears are getting ignored, Armor is deleting tails. It seems the noticed they got away with not providing hats to viera and hrothgar and are now just not bothering at all anymore.

Do you blame them ? In any other game, something like that, deleting main race features, blatantly too, they're not even trying to hide it, in literally any other game it would be met with a massive uproar, but FFXIV community being FFXIV community.

I dont blame SE one bit.

I am pretty sure a lot of people don't notice the changes because they have 9 modded Tails and Wolf Ears and other stuff i don't even wanna think about....

That might be why there is no uproar. They can not see the changes through their modded abominations.

Or they might have given up due to Squee's inability to show they actually care.
How many new hairstyles/hats have been added and not been available to hroth/viera?
Not like they've been in the game for quite the amount of time now.

To be fair, we can call them abominations all we like, and probably they are, but it isn't like devs are doing any better with examples like this.

The problem is getting so much worse they just don't care. Miqo'te and Elezen don't get ear pockets anymore, their tails get cut off, no more tail armor (that has been long gone to be fair). Some hats without ear pockets look absolutely ridiculous on long eared races. On top of that there are so many headwear which have terrible scaling that look comically huge. I wonder what people who have been defending the lack of hats for viera and hroths will have to say about this since their go to defense was "you were told there would be no hats" or some other nonsense.
