42 Fates / 38 CE
3 Atmas
with the current speed i am about to head for 500 Fates/CE in total for all Atmas. so less then 4% droprate
I spent approx 6 hours over a span of several days (close to 1.5 hrs each day). There I have 3 Light Blue, 1 Orange, 1 Dark Green, and 1 Dark Pink colored atmas. I only did CE when they popped, and maybe Fates if they were in the same area, along with just farming silver coins to unlock PH jobs.
I'll probably farm outside OC once I get enough atmas that I'll need only specific items but I really resent Fate farming in the outside maps.
in 100CE I got 27 Atmas. I ended up with over 40 in total when I actually handed the quest in and realised you only needed one set. Didn't really grind them, just levelled to 20 normally and then mastered 4 jobs. Knight, Chemist, Oracle and Cannoneer.
Grind is handy this time round. Such a shame that you get everything so fast. Was expecting an actual grind like the good old days. Now it's just back to Tomes which is awful. Kinda wish it was 18 Atmas per relic as now the content is essentially dead now.
I sat down and decided to push this thing to the end. I have roughly 4-5 hours on OC, where I managed to get like.. 3-4 atmas, but decided to go do DT FATEs instead because I could get some Shared FATE progression as well.
It took me roughly 10-11 hours to get all the atmas I still needed from continuous fate farming. The biggest drought was in Shaaloani, where I went 51 fates without getting any atmas. Quickest farms (from zero atma) took me around an hour/hour and a half with around 30-40 fates to get all the atmas.
The RNG can definitely be extremely unkind, but sometimes it delights you with incredibly quick progression. I also had two occasions where I got an atma drop from a fate two times in a row. How much I enjoyed this step though? Not one bit. I definitely think a pity atma from clearing x number of FATEs could really help make the overall process a bit more enjoyable, when you're not just a slave to RNG, but actually have some kind of a progress bar to fill that rewards you even if luck is not on your side.
From putzing around in Occult Crescent (I'm not quite yet to knowledge level 12):
16 FATEs, 12 CEs, 7 demiatmaI haven't been keeping track of what dropped from what.
4 days and have got none so far.
I haven't counted how many FATEs/CEs I've done.
My first foray in OC was to get my toes wet. No fates or CEs. My next two were two hours each. First 2 hours was I think about 10 CEs and some fates. 1 yellow Atma drop. Second 2 hours was about 5 CEs and some fates. No Atma drops. I was also clearing out some of the story on the second 2 hour go.
I may try DT fates as I need bi-color gemstones, finish some zones and see if my Atma luck is better outside.
When your RNG is abysmal, this grind seems to be way worse. Not to mention the 30k tomestones for the other 20 weapons, which is locked behind the Atma grind.
So people realize, I am doing all 20 weapons.
try it today, get two zone from 6 FATE to completed 60 and all I got is 1 demiatma in total.
in contrast in OC for 4 days, around 15 hours runing CE end to end, i got 4 demiatma.
While mileage may vary, I spent about 2.5 hours doing DT fates and got 6 Atmas. One ended up not being necessary. Still it was better than 4 hours and one Atma. Also, finished one Free Market in the process and bought 3 orchestrion rolls.
A little bit more palatable than inside OC. I still need to go inside OC for a quest and CE, but I can wait a day or two to do that.
