In need of methods of making gil

Hello, i'm looking for good methods of making gil, my physical rank is 20 and the most gil i've ever had is 120k i've been told that's not so good so i'm looking for ways to make money, the way I have before was mining, selling everything from what i've killed to NPCs and quests, i'm not in any way begging for any and I don't want any donations I prefer working for my own gil, thank you in advance

All my crafting levels are 5 and below i'm willing to train them to a good rank to make gil, just need to know what rank to get them to.

Do 8 Battlecraft/fieldcraft leves in the max size group, and 8 local leves every reset. you will gain monies fast.

Get ALC 15 and TAN 10, equip Preserve and Fulfillment, then choose any craft of interest

Gathering is good, its a hot and cold game, there is a animation/noise when you are hot. Various how-tos on the web.

Farming; farm Flax from ladybugs or does (antelope by Tranquil), or farm wolves for Buffalo Hide (Bentbranch or Emerald Moss areas), the +3 are worth WAY more than just regular ones which themselves go for ~15k/hide on my server.

+3 items are good drops for HQing gear/tools/weapons; some rich crafters who do seek +3 items will pay well for your collection (especially buffalo hides and flax (cotton boll +3 also good gil)) so hoard the ones i mentioned because they are the most common ingredients, later (way past physical rank 20ish :P) on Toad/Pieste/Hog are decent gil when the skin drops.

I hung out in the Market Ward and started comparing what I had in my bag after 2-3 days of grinding on random stuff around town to see what can offer me the best amount for the least amount of effort. You might be surprised. Provide people with basic materials for their crafting and you can easily make 600,000 gil for doing only 4-8 hours of repetitive farming, depending on what you choose to aim for.

You can even level up some multiple classes in the process. ^_^ All of my non-crafting classes are now at least level 10.

My personal favorite is Sheepskin since the area of sheep in Limsa Lominsa that I frequent is near a cliff overlooking the ocean. It reminds me of Ireland, so I've made that my designated farming area.

Not sure how populated your server is.... but a QUICK way to make some gil is by going to a popular city and picking up items from the wards and selling them for a profit in the more less populated cities. Sometimes this is opposite so be careful. On my server this looks like... going to Gridania and getting Zinc ore for 300 gil a pop and then bringing it to Uldah and selling for 1.5k gil a pop :-) Doesn't take much gil to get started :-)

On my server it is also very popular for people to pay 50k+ for a teleport to other cities instead of using their own anima. Make a second character, have a friend teleport you to each city to get the crystals and then shout your services :-D

I feel like I'm whoring myself out here lol....

A more legit money maker... like previously said... do all your leves.. at rank 30 you will be getting about 20-30k a pop on most battlecraft leves and sometimes you get armor etc that can sell for an additional 20-50k.

ah... well that is one thing you can do :P but you may just be wasting your money, especially if the buys know better.

This. The only time gil is an issue this game is at the very beginning. Although prices have come down dramatically from when I first starting playing this game last October.

Frankly, the game economy is broken in that gil is essentially worthless because it's too easy to get. I was absolutly shocked when I used to see tele shouts for 50K, but I quickly found out why lol.
