I genuinely wonder if this is an excuse or actually the truth. And if it is true, I just don't understand that decision on SE's part. XIV is by far their biggest cash cow. They literally have a golden goose and they're starving it. Makes no sense to me but I'm not a business exec or investor, I guess.

It's also literally more work to make multiple models of the same gear.. If resources is the issue, then there should only be one version of any gear. (I also agree that having both models available to both genders is the best way to go, but this point still stands. There is absolutely no reason for it to be radically different based on character gender.)
