That's just twisting the situation to make an unrelated and subjective complaint. We get plenty of fancy outfits for male characters, regardless of whether it suits your personal taste or not. You disliking it doesn't make it objectively bad.
I hope they'll stop doing this too. Seems silly.
Making everything unisex does not limit anyone.
You can still wear your genders normal version. It's just that others who prefer the other version can also wear that too.
I think if you have a problem with this, you are extremely emotional.
Unisex is a very simple great solution that easily gives many players more glam options.
Adding my voice to this even though after all these years I know the devs aren't listening.
Please stop making gear look different on male and female characters, especially in a case like this where the gear already has a super feminine design and all the other pieces look the same regardless of gender, all it results in is an inferior and generic looking piece when it deviates so drastically from the original design.
If you really feel the need to offer a separate 'male' option, that's fine, options are good! But either make it two separate pieces the player can choose between (Like some of the recent shop gear!), or give us '/visor'-like toggles like for every gear slot! It's really disappointing to see a new set of gear with an interesting design and then it changes into generic trash as soon as I try it on, and as much as the devs have been doing great about unlocking OLDER gender-locked items recently, there's still at least one item like this EVERY SINGLE PATCH.
This. This especially. Men who want the more masculine look are not buying the tycoon pieces. Hell, they're unlikely to buy the Liz pieces and Bartz was a dude!Adding my voice to this even though after all these years I know the devs aren't listening.

Yoshitaka Amano's style lends itself to pretty boys and pretty girls. His style is very androgynous. I mean we can all look at Dawntrail's cover art by him and agree that Meteor is not immediately identifiable as a man.
There was no reason to have given us these ugly pants for men when there is just... no reason for them to have done so?
The things I do for the glam...
He actually does look like a man to me, but I guess you see what you want to see, in my case I can pretty much see him as a man, while you want to see androgynous so you see it that way, but he's clearly a man in that picture.This. Ignoring people who are just being flippant and trolly for the sake of it at this point, I'm actually wondering why they did this as it actually means more work for them. I mean yes, they can just add pants that they already have modelled to the men, but even still, lalafells share the exact same body type, so let's presume that they actually modelled new pants and didn't take some from an old blender project or revamp some arr leggings. That's twice the work for a race that shares that same exact legs.
Idk I just can't help to think it's so incredibly silly at this point to have done this. We already have stockings. Is some with actual garters gonna kill people? (No, the answer is no)

I'm going to be honest they really opened a can of worms when they started "unlocking" (re-developing) gear for the opposite gender. The extent of the unlock all gear movement really favors male characters as there are some looks that are and will always be forbidden for the females, such as gear with an open chest area, shirtless, etc. Even when nudity isn't an issue they always tend to make the female chestpieces less revealing which also sounds like a double-standard. There is also a cost for implementing crossgender gear which is going to affect quality and efficiency of other new content and must be considered carefully. Quality is greater than quantity.
Gearfitting and design has taken a drop since Shadowbringers. In Endwalker and Dawntrail they went crazy adding crossgender outfits and the quality of work across the board is... debatable. I much rather would have them adding better and more unique sets if they can't handle doing it all.
The Male Tycoon Tights are very lame and uncreative though.
First of all: it would look royally stupid on a male character. I mean it already looks dumb on a female one.[SIZE="3"]Why are we still getting genderlocked gear? Why do the Tycoon tights turn into ugly generic pants when I put them on my male character? I love the female version of this bottom piece and it's greatly discouraging that I cannot wear it because I play a male character.
Second: the question we really need to ask is: why does it, yet again, turn into sth. a prostitute would wear on females in order to provide fanservice for horny teenagers?
