The one on the male having the little undershirt just yells to me that it's meant to be worn by female characters, too, just with a lower cut to cover the chest.

One glam issue down! Yet some more remains.
Namely this genderlocking. Even worse when it's 1 item with 2 distinct looks, makes it much harder to get fixed...

I am begging them to un-genderlock the Makai stuff, it's been too long at this point.

The one thing that really bugs me about these, gendered-clothing-wise, is the bike shorts under the male open-sided pants. It really looks like they either need to commit to the skimpy look or completely fill it in, not this awkward halfway-there length.![]()
They're just inconsistent with details that change between genders. Sometimes it happens, sometimes not, often with skimpy details.
The Prishe and the Mayakov outfits from the Alliance Raid are obviously female coded, but they didn't change anything when ported to male characters. So does the Galatea store outfit... But the Pictomancer's cropped top doesn't happen.
We just don't know what to expect.
Yeah, I was also concerned when I saw the new glam promo pics if they were previewing the same set or not, but hope springs eternal.
The genuine mystery is why SE is scared of revealing men's thighs and legs that they gave him modest shorts but not for women![]()

Square just seems to hate at this point briefs/speedos for men and outfits that reveal the chest/shoulders that aren’t just completely topless
Those bike shorts are so typical square enix for men
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

They need to conform to their gender stereotypes after all. Showing some skin on the upper thighs/hips of THE MALE? le gasp
Secretly had a crush on Mao
It's a bit funny that males can wear frilly and feminine clothing, but showing skin is too much
I will never forget Picto midriffgate
