Whether or not those posters are aware, those sentiments are classic misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia—three in one package, complete with a pill of obstinacy!

But anyway..

They have done it before with stuffs like many mog station glams. I just want them to follow through that with the rest of the available wardrobe. I’m especially still waiting for that butterfly hairpin from female aiming makai set to be available for my male middie lol. And the flower hairpin from female healer makai set too. Smh…

You can’t even answer the above question with “square is the arbiter” because some people here want square to be even more conservative so it’s obvious square has made decisions too liberal for you (like the person who doesn’t like that makes have speedo options calling them bikinis when speedos are a perfectly normal male swimwear type)

And what about the line between two people arguing conservatism, who gets to pick when one of you is fine and the other isn’t with a piece

Being part of lgbtqia+ does not make one immune from being queerphobia. A person can be one and still be a phobe themself. Thinking that's silly is even sillier, it's not a rocket science. Maybe actually focus on the thread's point: "Genderlock removal provides more options for all players that's beneficial at best, and indifferent at worst".

Also funny people bring up "special thing for women and you want to take it away" - when there had been obvious requests in the past from the opposite spectrum i.e. female characters wanting to have male's neo ishgardian but was given a dress instead; female characters not wanting to be given skimpy after skimpy clothing; casual halfslops turning into casual shortpants; better yet? See almost entire NieR raid pieces between both genders. Should we then, call them out for 'wanting to take special thing from men' (rhetoric)?

I'm not getting into that ungodly notion, but even if you ignore that, the demand is there, and they had actually complied on some pieces (Valentione Rose/Acacia/Forget-me-nots, Far Easterns Lady/Lord, Nezha set, and so on!). We should be asking for better. Why should we be treating like they're some indie devs that SE cannot fund? lol...

I've been playing Dragon Quest X Online lately and got really annoyed at some of the most blatant gender differences in gear I've seen in an MMO. As a small example if you wanted to have a Patisserie Chef glamour for your character then you're out of luck. Only men are allowed to look like that, women instead get a waitress outfit. The gear is identical and changes depending on what gender character is wearing it.



Like come on man. I just wanna look like a cool chef. lol So I'm for it, give people the options. They've added variant gear before with the Island Sanctuary so why not do the same here?

Also, rule number one: if your argument is "I have trans friends" I need you to know that the amount of transphobes I tolerate because my friends like them is very high, and they don't know how bad their transphobia is. If you have trans friends who are willing to listen to you and your husband's gender essentialist drivel, MelodyCrystel, then odds are that they are doormats or have given up on you. Clothing doesn't have a gender. There's plenty of transphobic queer people, there's also plenty of people with internalized feelings of queerphobia. And there's TERFs, many of which are queer themselves. The "I'm queer so I can't be transphobic" is a fallacy. I have biases towards some groups I am in, too, but I work on them instead of being a pick me for cishets. lol
