Gender locking gear is high-key fine with me, due to male and female figures....and clothes needing to fit said figures, but class/job locking has got to go.........

It's not like they didn't reshape all the genderunlocked glams. Everything is reshaped for the male bodies. This is a silly argument. It's just basically saying "I don't wanna see that."

Which is a feeling, not an argument, as clothing has no gender, and this is DIGITAL PIXEL CLOTHING which does have to be reshaped.

Making pants into thigh highs/shorts/a skirt is not an adjustment to fit the figure, though. It's to appeal to all the dudes who play catgirls and spend their days standing around in Limsa. And do NOT get me started on male caster/healer gear. They are 99% ugly potato sacks that look good on MAYBE Au Ra dudes because they have tiny waists.

Wouldn't the same argument apply to race lock? Lalas can't use other race's models. The same goes for Male Roe. It doesn't stop them from sharing gear. The gear keeps the theme and is adjusted to the body. That's what people are asking for, and it's something SE already has to do.

Having the option to pick 2 or even 3 variants on any character wouldn't harm anyone. This is multibillion dollars company. Ask more & better, not less. They've been cutting corner A LOT.

Sure, they can have different versions of it, proper pants (the ones in game are ugly, cant deny) or shorts sound like a good idea to me.

This tbh, but this thread has quite a few aggressive people really that will yell you down the second you dare say something that goes agaisnt what they say, the amount of people in this thread that got called homophobic or bigots for not wanting this is actually crazy, I would just give as advice to ignore them as honestly there's no discussion to be had with them

Bruh someone literally said 'begone Satan' to a lgbt person. (which that comment got removed btw). I don't remember what was said before but there was definitely outright lgbtq hatred as the sole reason for not lifting the locks. I always find it funny when people cry about gender nonconformity because men wore skirts and dresses (more or less) for most of human history. Men wore high heels, wigs and makeup. Heck, the clergy of many cultures still wear more or less frilly nightgowns to religious services.

THIS. It's more like complaining men don't adhere to specifically 21st century macho-gentleman fashion stereotyping or some insane shit. And this in a fantasy game where 'most' of the clothing isn't 21st century fashion.
Men have literally been wearing skirts and dresses forever. Go look at how the Greeks and Romans dressed themselves.
