Yeah, it is really a shame about the phantom jobs. It has potential. Finger crossed they upgrade it in next stage.Honestly I like it but it's weaker then bozja and Eureka.
My biggest gripe is how bad the phantom job system is, it's basically tacked on theirs no real way customize your job, bozja generally speaking had a better system, this could all be fixed if you allowed for us to pick abilities off other phantom jobs once fully levelled for freelancer.
I've been enjoying myself so far but I don't think this content will last as "long form" content if I'm going to be honest. After I do the relic and a few other things like instanced content and gold farming for glams I don't know what else I'd be invested in it for.
By packaging the extra abilities into jobs with no customization, they can avoid needing to design and balance around potential edge cases.Honestly I like it but it's weaker then bozja and Eureka.

It makes me so sad to say this. I really looked forward to the new field content. But their late timing was bad and the
content itself is for me personally much less fun than Eureka or Bozia was.
I already feel like I don't want to play much more in this content.
I loved field content so much, but this...
I mean..., it is literally just porting, running to the crit, then beat up an enemy and then port back and port somewhere
else and run there and beat up again and back again and so on, because the crits also spawn extremely quickly.
There is not even time to explore the map because it stresses me out so much how often something spawns and gives
the feeling that you miss something when you ignore it. For me it became very fast just stressfull in an unexciting way,
and extremly repetitiv. There is nothing really exciting between beginning and tower. And BA styled tower should have been an extra.
Special crits in Bozia that you could do without discord where a better choice.
Just my opinion, but Eureka and Bozia was muuuch better. I had so much more fun grinding there. And I did it a lot! xD
But OC..., I don't know... I am sad. :C

Phantom Jobs definitely felt a bit lackluster in customizability when compared to their predecessor. It does however felt comfy in a refreshing way that they are one-time instead of needing to be replenished. My current minor issue with that is, logograms and fragments were quite a lucrative market that drawn me to Eureka/Bozja previously even after I got everything that I wanted out of the contents, and so far in OC I haven’t seen anything that could be tossed to market while not crashing the value so severely. I guess they will refine it further in future patches but who knows?
I still have yet to join any Tower of Blood runs because it seemed to be a poor time investment for the moment & does not align with my current goals to max out all phantom jobs and acquire all base arcanaut’s gearsets, so I can’t say much on that front.
I like how CE/FATEs always spawns quickly because there’s always something to do even when you want to take a small break from the CE/FATE train, be it treasure hunting, killinghelping the pots, or even /gpose (lol). Then, when I’m ready to jump back in, there’s always one to join right away.
Regarding the relic grind though, I feel like allowing us to trade in dupe demiatmas for the ones we need would be helpful. Say: trade 3 malachite demiatmas for 1 verdigris demiatma.
Occult already feels kinda stale, the critical engagement feel basic and already repetitive. Phantom jobs are not really exciting because SE tried to play it safe despite as the previous two field ops having shown that this is exactly the place for broken series staple spells like death, reflect, etc. I havent even gotten to caring about the relic, that stuff is by definition just a thing that's tacked on to something. I cant even level other jobs in there which is pretty disappointing.
It's been pretty much my experience so far. Everything spawns fast but not at the same time so everybody on the map gets to run between each spawn, resulting in hunt train gameplay where you spend your time running and porting, tapping a fate that will die under 5s anyway, then move to the next, with the occasional interrupt from a CE spawning as well.It makes me so sad to say this. I really looked forward to the new field content. But their late timing was bad and the

The only different experience I have yet to go through is the gold farming which I assume is kinda zzZzZZz like it was in eureka, but at least doable in smaller groups that chill around.
I was definitely expecting the same kind of atrocious grindy boredom with zero gameplay intricacies whatsoever like eureka or bozja (although they even watered down the logogram/lost action system to make sure we don't have any fun with it), but they actually managed to make it feel like a rush.
Worse, there is literally nothing to work together for as a community in there.

If you want to explore the map, then just explore the map. The only thing stopping you is the person you see when you look in the mirror.I mean..., it is literally just porting, running to the crit, then beat up an enemy and then port back and port somewhere else and run there and beat up again and back again and so on, because the crits also spawn extremely quickly.

There is an infinite supply of FATEs and CEs. You're not missing anything. They'll be there, waiting for you, when you're ready, especially if they're popping as quickly as you make them out to be.
They really need to sit down and figure out how to fix FATE scaling. It almost never feels right and the bosses either die in 15 seconds or 5 minutes with basically no in-between. Whatever algorithm they're using right now is fcked up
Respectfully disagree. What a "relic" is in an MMO has been watered down. Relics would last an entire expansion (at least) and be head and shoulders above everything else. They could be built upon from one expansion to the next. Or they had some use even outside the expansion they were earned in due to special effects (like the rez stick in EQ1 for clerics).
Relics in this game have always been...well... not relics. We shouldn't "earn" a relic just to have it gathering dust a month or so later.

Vive la résistance!
Finalement, Boucles d'or goûta le porridge dans le bol de Bébé Ours. "Miam Miam, ce porridge est parfait!" dit-elle, et elle mangea le bol entier de porridge.
