I have the Arcane Artistry quest active where it tells me I need to "Deliver the requisite demiatma to Gerolt."
I've been doing Fates for about 6 hours now and I have literally nothing. Not one single drop.

Feel like just Eureka 2.0
The good
mount available at the beginning and aggro range seem to be not as bad as Eureka. Still could get killed on the way to CE but not as bad as Eureka again.
Map and Scenary is nice and not something try to frustrate player with hills and cliffs.
Story Plot definately more interesting than Eureka
The Bad.
Grind, grind and more grind. Have to check if I am suddenly playing Korean MMO instead, slow level grind, slow phantom job grind, and slow currency grind.
Mob are HP sponge.
CE/FATE is not properly scale to smaller party or even solo.
Phantom Job is disappointing, lost actions are much better system.
CE mechanics isnt too hard, timming is abit tight with large party the lag can really be a life and death situation.
Same content you either ride the initial hype train or not able to touch it later.
Relic Grind...I know players dont want EW type of easy Relic, but not a single drop in 4 hours...that's worse than HW, ARR drop rate

The problem is when it comes to the weapons, it's not even grind... It's RNG.
If you have like 666 fate to farm until you got your reward, it would be grind.
But right now it's more like you can do 999 and still be there.
While somebody can show up do 333 and be done with it.
Don't care much about the phantom job, they litterally are phantoms, it's useless and boring at the same time.
If at least the skills they were powerfull on the mobs... But nope.
I was about to say i liked this content, but nope, it's downright insulting.
SE could spit in our faces, would be the same.
This is litteraly some shitty F2P MMO stuff.

Kinda figured it'd be a "safe" addition to the game. They really are afraid of taking giant leaps when it comes to taking chances on new content. Or maybe they just can't, like the code won't let them (or so they keep saying) idk which is worse.
I think this has been the most miserable day I've had playing in years. Going on 7 hours of doing these Fates and not a single Demiatma to speak of.

And people are gonna defend SE for this crap lol.
I just explored the entire zone and completed the map while level 1. While doing this, I aggro'd enemies TWICE, despite hugging enemies that were over 20 levels above me constantly. I was also mounted going at full mount speed. And exploring it was as if the enemies were not there. One of the enemies that went on me I could have avoided and kinda knew it would happen.
I did a few CEs and racked up 9 vuln stacks on a PLD+Knight and I took such little damage (unmitigated) that I could virtually handle another 10 or 20 stacks most likely. Even for a tank, 9 vulns is usually the breaking point but it's not in Occult.
All the aethernets can be got right away, which trivialized it a lot more.
I haven't tried fighting the enemies or using the jobs properly yet but I don't get the impression I even need all that stuff so far.
The story and CE battles themselves seemed OK so far though.
It's too bad you have to choose between the main CEs and the treasure CEs because the former respawn immediately. And there are achievements for the coffers now.
Chemist is amusing too...Already at 270/500 raises and probably never touching the job again.
playerbase wanted grind back, so shut up and grind. Maybe next time be careful what you (general you) wish for
