It also wouldn't make sense to roll up to tank a dungeon in a bikini with a chicken costume head, but here we are. We have had immersion-breaking clothing in the game since pretty much ever. Restricting some of it while allowing the rest makes no sense.
That's not how it works, glams are simply illusions while you're still wearing the actual armor below it, you could be glammed with the Emperor's New set but still have full plate mail as a tank beneath it, you learn this when you unlock glam prisms.

Well no; it's in the normal game, but just like hrothgar and viera headgear visibility, it's only accessible to naughty players who break the rules and use third party tools. And as has been mentioned already in this thread, enabling them in the game proper would be a rather complex and invested ordeal since it'd require UI updates and stuff.
Which is also why I feel like there's gotta be a very BIG "catch" regarding the mobile version having access to them.

The “catch” is that each of those dye channels requires one pot of dye! lol which you can buy as a micro transaction if you don’t want to bother obtaining them in-game. I assume they’ll be able to be crafted like the main game too? Except for the special ones.
That's an authentic experience.

TBH, I've always been perfectly happy with the reg Soot and Snow white dyes, so I've been slowly selling the pure black/white dyes I get from Ventures. I even got a few pure dyes untradable from the Friend code, but it's hard to justify anything when I change glams often, and 500k is a lot to invest in 1 color for 1 item.
They say the mobile version won't be a gatcha game but I'd put money down that they have a plan for something to extract as much money from people as possible.
Furthermore, who wants to bet that our choices will be the overly mobile game will all the new features bells and whistles that you would also have to do all the same content over again in, OR the current game which they will likely say they can't make any of the same adjustments to but all we have to pay for is the sub......+ extra retainers if you want them............+ seasonal content that is marketed as content we get for paying our subs but that rewards goes on the mog statation the second it's over.......+ most mog station items aren't account wide.......nah I think you get where im going with this lol.
That's every single live service game, so it's not much of a prediction. Subscription MMOs from the early 2000s had psychologists onboard to come up with ways to keep people subbed month-to-month.
It can happen, sometimes. I remember Pioneer (or whatever company got the license) hired the fansub team who did Excel Saga because because none of their in-house production staff wanted to touch it. Excel fansubbers suddenly had real jobs and a real budget to work with, and they came up with the "pop up liner notes" concept.
