Let alone the fact that there's near nothing for non-traditional jobs to do, SE didn't even bother for BLU to have its own way of acquiring the exquisite version of its umbrella, have to do Criterion Savage to get the materials for it which BLU cannot even enter (definitely not strong enough to do) at which point how is it a BLU weapon at all when you had to acquire it with other jobs.

ShB introduced the aether cannons guarding the Crystarium, and Dawntrail remembered that those exist and imported them to the Source, so I could see some sort of ranged DPS job along the lines of "gun mage" using a hand-held aether cannon as the weapon. Perhaps that would be thematically hard to fit in with "physical" ranged dps, but all the jobs we have are using aether in some way. Laser gun go pew

No more lasers and rockets and what not for me, thank you very much. And send that Blitzball clown to the Cruiserweight arena where he belongs.
After Dawntrail I don't want to see any more sci-fi for at least an entire expansion.
Not in environments, not in jobs and definitely not in outfits.


At this point what I want most are job specs. Bring back the old complicated versions of jobs as different specs allowing the simple and the original forms to coexist. Leave the complex jobs complex and then SE can do what they want with the simple versions without upsetting players. No need to make new gear, animations, or anything like that so it shouldn't be as much work as making new jobs.



I would love if beast master was a actual job instead of being limited. And have puppet master/corsair/geomancer or runefencer jobs.
That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.


For Job Identity for 8.0 in SE/CBU3 "mouth" sound more like new skills animation, VFX and SFX for me.
Yup, i'm pretty sure there will be almost no gameplay change except for some QoL.
Don't raise you hopes too high, the fall risk to be a hard one.
