Might as well. I already feel like a bot with their quest design of click click click and watch cutscene.
Being in the empty overworld with infinite teleport points and flying around. The overworld might as well not exist.

Nor do they do a convincing job anymore that people actually live in their world. 10 000 closed up houses and two open ones. Dont know what happened to them, but their worldbuilding and care for the lore too is garbage tier atm.

I always find it interesting that people who have not or cannot do certain content often claim that the people who can are bots, or are trying to be 'like' bots.

This inability to admit one is not capable is largely why many people fail at difficult content.

I'm more than happy to admit I'm incapable of clearing difficult content. And yet every time I do so, I'm told it's because I'm not trying hard enough.

FFXIV is now two (at least) games behind one login screen. As a raiding simulator, it is only of interest to a minority of the players. As a story-driven MMO, it has completely lost its way.

This sort of mindset is beyond frightening. Go play elden rings or something. FFXIV is an MMO. Also for someone who says content is 'easy' without providing any proof that they cleared anything. Typical.

Is it really? Most people don't raid. If someone says anything other than "o/...gg" in DF it's startling.

What about the new content?

Cosmic Exploration. Other players are in the same instance. To advance the content one needs a lot of players to be there at once, which has caused issues. But where's the interaction? Where do gatherers collect mats for crafters? Where is the teamwork? There is none.

Meanwhile the multiplayer component of Occult Crescent boils down to typing "lfg ce" and nothing more.

This is only an MMORPG thanks to the RP crowd, most of whom are violating ToS.

I can't say wheather this game is really dying. But it feels like it has started to die for me after so many years.
I am around since 2015, maybe even longer. My first chars where older.
