The Navel (Hard): Not showing up although quest done

Guess who is back with a question?

I have a strange problem: I have completed the quest "In a Titan Spot" that unlocks Navel (Hard). I'm sure about, because it is confirmed in my Journal.

Although that, the Navel (Hard) doesn't show up in the duty finder.

What do I fail to see/understand? Is there an additional requirement else than the quest?

The problem has taken a new turn, see my reply below.

Ok, I am totally lost and try to explain status:
- I completed the quest "In a titan spot" that unlocked the trial The Navel (Hard).
- I completed the Navel (Hard).

Although that:
- In the duty finder, the green mark doesn't appear on the Navel (hard) trial, as if I would never have done it.
- The quest "Good Intentions" doesn't unlocked, because The Navel (hard) is not counted as done.

Are you sure that you did the (Hard) version, level 50 with eight players, instead of the previous one that’s level 34 with four players?.

Maybe try it once more, take a screenshot of when log window says “Navel (Hard) complete,” and if you’re still stuck then post that and also screenshots of the Good Intentions quest requirements and also your duty funder window for Navel (Hard).

There is The Navel normal, The Navel (Hard) for level 50, and then The Navel (Extreme). These all appear under the "Trials" tab in Duty Finder, which you can open with /dutyfinder. My guess is that you did The Navel normal instead?

It's important to note, however, that (Extreme) or Minstrel's Ballad are considered the actual hard versions (High-end duties). These will be unlocked via sidequests in the same way. They don't have a story quest for the higher level ones because it goaded new players into unlocking high-difficulty content by accident. If you queue for the Extreme version, it may take hours or days to get into, because it only matches you with other new players that queue for it or a small minority of players that have access to Mentor Roulette. It's not filled by the roulette everyone has access to, which is Trials roulette.

If you do get into the Extreme version, you will probably beat it because of gear and echo stacks, but it may take a lot of attempts. Just something to be aware of! The alternative way to clear Extreme or Minstrel's Ballads is to do it solo when you are higher level (for example, level 70 in level 70 gear) using the Unrestricted setting or if you have a level 100 friend that can help.

A lot of things like this are confusing at level 50 and lower, because that was the beginning of the game, where they threw mud at the wall to see what sticks. It's a bit like the pilot episode of show. They don't repeat all these design mistakes later on. After level 50, you'll only see the (Hard) versions as part of MSQ and won't even run into any other version at all unless you go out of your way to.

Hello All

Thank you for your replies. I'm sure it was Navel Hard (team of 8 and written in the duty description while waiting for a party).

Fortunately, the problem got solved. I did exit the game and restarted it. Once I did that, I re-opened the duty finder and the Navel (Hard) was showing up as completed, with the green mark! It seems it has been a bug: the duty finder couldn't update timely. Or maybe it was something different, but I failed to see/understand it. I'm just happy it's fixed without redoing a 4th time the Navel again.

Side note: I learned one more thing along this issue. If selecting a trial in the trial section doesn't work, it's most probably because "trials" is selected in the roulettes section. In that case, random choice is mandatory and doesn't let us chose anymore in the other section. Same goes with dungeons.

If you open the dutyfinder menu, there should be a button at the bottem left of the window that says "clear all" or something along those lines. If you press that, any previous duties/roulettes/etc you had highlighted will be unselected. Thus allowing you to select what you need to run now, and be on your way.

Oh, it's really strange that it didn't show immediately.

As for selecting duties:
- You can select up to 5 duties at a time.
- Alternatively, you can select 1 roulette.

This sometimes causes you to queue for the previous duty you just did by accident, due to not unselecting it. It's mostly only an issue for new players; once you have cleared all of the duties, there is not much reason to queue for anything other than roulettes, which don't allow you to queue multiple at once.
