Can't load into game error code a16

I loaded into steam and get a black screen and the game not responding. try a trick where I open Task manager and turn off steam. Game start but give another error of a16. Please help.

Is there a way to fix the launcher and play the game without to have to shut down steam with the task manager?

Does this crash occur if the game is run in full screen mode? Does it happen in borderless or windowed mode?

You might have or have had the issue that affected Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen CPUs (your i7-14700F is listed in the affected SKUs)

Even if the needed patching or BIOS changes had been done, it is still possible the damage had already been done to the CPU, which can explain why it acts up for FF14 but maybe not for other apps or games, as FF14 tends to use the CPU more than the GPU, plus likes to use less cores on multi-core CPUs.
So FF14's "darts" maybe are hitting close to the damaged parts of the CPU, while other apps and games miss them.

After searching the internet for the problem I've found that the problem is with a boot file called: steam_api64.dll. I can start the launcher up, type my password in, but BEFORE I press play. I go to this file and rename steam_api64.dll with -bak in the name making it steam_api64-bak.dll then hit play and the game plays fine. only thing wrong is I have to undo the changes afterwards otherwise the launcher will not load. can you help with this problem?

. Delete all the contents in there
. After deleting the contents, right-click on the folder and select Properties.
. If it is set as read only, please uncheck this option.
. If One Drive is enabled, please disable it.
. Re-launch Final Fantasy XIV

Still doesn't load up again only thing works is changing steam_api64.dll to steam_api64-bak.dll in C: Program files x86 > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Final Fantasy XIV Online > Boot. But like I said I have to start the launcher up, type my password in, but BEFORE I press play I make this change. plus i have to reverse it afterwards or the launcher will not start.
