Nope. What the point of having a shiny new DPS rotation if, in the end, we won't use it because the healing requirement has gone up and don't leave us the time to realy use it.

Soloing MSQ, Fate farming, casual content that by design will require less healing than harder content, healing downtime that will inevitably be there to allow for recovery periods unless you want to force absolute perfect play in healing, when average ilvl inevitably goes up during a tier.

Square promised "high healing uptime" since Shadowbringers and haven't delivered. We will always have time to DPS on healer in this game.

There will never be a moment in this games design that will result in having such high healing uptime that would justify a single nuke and dot kit. We absolutely need more to heal than now, but we will also need extra attacks for the inevitable healing downtime. Even if there was such high healing uptime, an extra DPS spell would still make MSQ less of a slog on healer.

I mean, I'm not healing anymore. Not because of the strike, but because the role is so incredibly boring that i can't stand to do it anymore, after being a healer main for years. I realized i was only having fun when content was new and mistakes were being made, because otherwise there's not enough damage happening to make me feel like i'm contributing anything.

That itself wouldn't be a problem if the dps rotation for healers wasn't just one button 90% of the time.

Not the case unless people mess up really bad. In harder content, messing up leads to people dying anyway.

And I thought I was the only one. Fabled DDs like the frost mage, the ranged ninja, or the melee red mage that make every mob group live forever. Massively undergeared tanks doing the oh so cool W2W pulls they saw in some Youtube video, never user mitigation, and quench every little bit of healing out of me. I once had a tank in a level 50 roulette who was wearing glamours. Not glamoured equip, they were equipped with level 1 stat-less glamour items. And so on.

Sometimes I wonder what game those "everything so easy, healing not required" guys are referring to - can't be the same FF14 that I'm playing.

Those people are quite literally griefing and should be kicked from the party.

What you are talking are the infamous Duty Roulette Stories.... And, yeah, it can be an hell XD.
But if you have an FC or a good static party, you are mostly here just to fill the prerequisite to enter a Dungeon/Trial/Raid asked by the game.

Then maybe all the people that want healing to be harder should stop playing with their FCs and good static parties, and instead go heal a couple of random roulettes The challenge is out there, they just need to look for it at the right spot!
So maybe the solution is something along the lines of "if you want more challenge, play harder content"?

Then again, who can blame them? Nobody wants to read 6+ years worth of baggage (including the devs). They'd rather snicker & move on to complain what they want changed next.

Some of those fabled rare animals do appears sometimes, but no. All they made me do is to spend 1-5 extra GCDs for Cure II/Adlo/Benefic II/E.Diagnosis instead of pressing Glaroilficosis. Like what? I press my ST and AoE filler in average 170 - 250 times per dungeon with 0 GCD heals. See now how little that changes my gameplay? It just means I spam 1 button dps more to compensate their deficits and MAYBE need to cast tiny little amount of GCD heals to compensate my overbloated oGCDs that's currently on cooldown probably. Wow, so exciting.

Play with randos? I do that plenty of times. Especially, if you see me existing in any of those rare Ivalice/NieR raids, I'm probably the reason why you're there because I like to queue into them manually. But need me to remind you how far the gameplay has been declawed and defanged in many aspects that it takes really REALLY rare occurence where the star aligns to shove 20+ clowns together? Yeah... that doesn't happen as often as people make it out either.

I still haven't played healer in any multiplayer content ; mostly leveled without playing them really. Then again, I haven't been subscribed that much in DT.

It's been 3 expansions without gameplay, identity or direction for the role, and nothing was even properly acknowledged by SE ; at most we got vague dismissals and empty promises.

At least, now that the gameplay I enjoyed is gone, I see the whole game is low effort with low quality stories/characters and copy/pasted content.
What was once a "critically acclaimed" game fell to become mediocre one.

I came back to try the "new" stuff but so far it's been mostly disappointment and tediousness.

I'm starting to care about that game as much as SE/CS3 do.
