Mists was certainly the peak for me in WoW, and was the last expansion I played to the end before I quit because I had like, negative interest in Warlords and its entire premise, and none of the other expansions since then ever grabbed me back. And then all the scandals happened and... yeah... I think I'll continue staying away from WoW.

Incidentally, I have very little interest for doing Shadowbringers. Maybe it's just me, but I don't find the idea of "travel to other world/dimension" to be terribly compelling in an MMO as a set piece/plot point, and I'd rather be back doing stuff on the Source instead of doing whatever on the First.

I know exactly what you mean. I had very 'alice in wonderland' "then I woke up in another land" "isekslai" contrived/convenience vibes from the whole reflection thing.
But it does emerse you.
It is 'unlikely' that you will not find it very worth it.
(Just know that unless your into your hardcore gameplay you will have "finished" the game one you come to the end of DT, and you do be putting it away. Treat like a solo game you finish then put down. Maybe you'll pick it up again. Maybe you won't. I wasn't ready for that shock. I think the best things the white knights who are still around can do is to start to really tutor sprouts about what to expect. Which is that unless they are going to progress onto savage, it's common for people to stop playing the game. I think if you normalise that it will make life easier for the white knights outlook. I find it astonishing now I look back that not a single person clued me in that that was how the game worked once you'd used up all your MSQ backlog)

i'm not quitting for a version of wow that i've already played before lol
after i finish the raid tier with my static i'm quitting for single player games, not wow or any other mmo, then il be back next raid tier. simple as

I find comments like this hilarious. Aside from the simple reality that MoP Classic won't have any noticeable impact on FFXIV, I chuckle as someone who played MoP back in the day and remember how much of the community derided it as "cartoonish Pandaland" and continuing the fall of WoW that began with Cata. MoP Classic isn't going to do anything.

Heck, I thought this game was about slaying monsters, doing quests, and saving the world from God-like creatures. It turns out that's just a mini-game, and the real game is sitting in an FC house for 10 hours a day complaining there is nothing to do. (provided you have a house and aren't someone whining they don't have one or had one but decided to not log in for a couple of months despite knowing you have to log in every now and then to keep your house and whining the game took your house away.)
