I've had strong opinions about job design decisions made recently so I felt it would be worth documenting how I feel about Monk in 7.2 since it's the job I'm maining for savage raid. For context I didn't even finishing leveling Monk before Dawntrail so I won't be commenting much on the old design as I never really got to play it. This tier is my first experience playing monk as my main job.

Overall I actually really enjoy it! I find most jobs tend to get a boring if I play them too much but monk hasn't had that issue for me. Managing my builder/spender GCDs plus positionals has been enough to keep me engaged in the current tier. I also personally really like managing melee downtime on monk compared to the other melee's I've tried. Planning out when I use my ranged wind/fire reply skills and relying on the extended GCD from six sided star is fun and interesting. I really hope monk isn't given a ranged filler ability like all the other melees.

I think the only thing I don't like is the pace of the job, I want it to be even faster >:3. I was able to get a pretty fast GCD (1.76) at the end of last tier when I was prepping my monk by stacking skill speed, but there's less skill speed pieces at 760 this patch so I didn't have the option to make my monk as fast. I also feel like more chaka generation would make monk feel faster. I like getting flooded with chakra during brotherhood as all the extra weaves to spend the chakra make monk feel faster. But outside that window chakra generation is kinda slow.
