    Remove winged glide all together, give us 2-3 elusive jump charges. Make piercing talon the old slow jump with the same damage neutral*ish potency buff when used after elusive jump. It can stay the as the slow animation since its a GCD instead of an OGCD.

    EZ.

    That would give us all the tools we need to get around. Keep our gap closers uniquely DRG and most importantly return them to being jumps.

    Changing the animation? Sure. Removing the gap closer? Not a good idea in a vacuum unless other tools were given. Elusive has its uses and provides versatility but it doesn't always equate to a gap closer.

    Hmm yeah the targetable gap closer is nice for sure but I cant think of a time in recent memory where I couldn't just make do with elusive jump to close the distance to a target or just popping sprint. Even during 1min and 2min bursts theres dfd and stardiver to chase targets. The 2.5s GCD lets you cover some pretty decent distances on foot.

    Not invested in the idea or anything though xD just some thoughts for lels~

    That being said, I know the idea of winged glide being turned into a jump gets thrown around a lot but im not personally a big fan of the idea if its a spineshatter type jump. I feel like it doesnt make much sense to go through the same motions of jumping high into the sky to come down on your enemy only not to stick your spear out for some reason? Bit ehhh i dunno. That sort of jump should be reserved for damage type jumps. A lower to the ground jump like a foward elusive jump or the old drk plunge might be more appropriate. Maybe something along the lines of the air hop thingo from Monster hunters insect glaive if anyone is familiar with that?

    Oh an additional thought for getting rid of winged glide all together. Instead of the targetable gap closer how about just giving us back our spear reach advantage? XD 5 yalms? You could get away with a lot with an extra 2 yalms of reach especially paired with elusive and our already long 2.5s gcd~ uniqueness~ hmm hmm? XD
