No sun on the moon?

Hello,

We can see the sun go up and down while being on Etheirys. (Also, Etheirys is not a frozen wasteland...)

We have light and shadows in Sinus Ardorum, same as Mare Lamentorum.

And yet, we cannot see the sun while being on the moon, at any time. If we'd be on the dark side of the moon, it would explain it, but then it would also be, well, dark.

Please give us a sun, make it make sense!

SE refuses to illuminate the two-body (sun-Etheirys) system correctly. No way they'll manage the three-body system.

Besides, it's explicitly stated that the Moon, being an artificial satellite designed to be a gigantic spacecraft has a breathable atmosphere and gravity due to the lopporits using those special coloured crystals in Bestways Burrow - it would be presumedly also providing light on the moon regardless of it's celestial position.

I think it's easier just to completely dispense with the laws of physics. A breathable atmosphere that was also somehow illuminated would not produce a permanently dark sky in which stars are visible.

For example, the Martian atmosphere has about 1/100th the density of Earth at surface level, but looking up on the daylight side you don't see stars nor a dark sky. Contrast with Earth's moon from which you do.

Etheirys' illumination has always irritated me, since it's not an issue of physics, just simple geometry. That is, if we accept day/night is produced by the sun -- something we observe directly from our lovely sanctuary islands for example -- and Etheirys is a roughly spherical planet, sunrise/sunset being independent of both latitude and longitude is impossible.

Of course it is a fantasy game and doesn't have to be 100% scientific accurate. However, even a fantasy world, book, game, movie,... would do well in being at least somewhat consistent in its own established rules, lore and metaphysics so you don't smash the suspension of disbelief of the person reading, playing or watching. FFXIV managed to do this quite well very often, that's what I love about this universe so much. But that's also why it's so extra disturbing to see (or rather not see) such a glaring inconsistency like a missing sun of all things...

If you are fine with the situation as is or are satisfied with the explanation you yourself come up with instead of asking the developers for providing one... good for you? I'm happy for you that it doesn't bother you but that doesn't change the point that it bothers me and that I would appreciate for the devs to keep their world rules somewhat consistent.

Hell, if they cba with adding a sun and go with "bunny magics", that's also ok, but then show me a bunny on the moon light control panel and add some lamps to make it believable, and the whatever it is that's floating around Etheirys and poses as "the sun" while we are on the planet and look to the sky.
