Can I Spirtbond for grade 1-3 combat materia while I'm working on a Soulglazed relic?

Having reminded myself of the Animus quests and Novus quests... there's no special, noteworthy effort anywhere in there -- certainly not today with unsynced runs and lv.100 jobs.

It was mostly all the damn FATE farming/having to complete specific FATEs up until now that was grueling precisely because you CAN'T unsync those and some of them require playing as a specific job with their ARR relic equipped (with WHM/SCH/MNK/BRD/BLM being the least fun for me) and of course the good old "wait for hours for the one you need to appear" (contrary to popular belief, wiping out all the other FATEs does not in fact increase the chance of the one you need appearing), it's why I didn't inquire as to whether I could farm combat materia via FATEs because I refused to do anymore ARR ones outside of any absolutely necessary steps going forward.

Farming poetics for the books and Alexandrite wasn't super-great either, since it meant doing a bunch of roulettes while being thrown into Stromblood content I usually ended up dead in, so I eventually gave up there and just got the rest via drip-feed society quests.

I'm just not really a fan of gathering and crafting in general, which was why I was trying to find some sort of other viable method ...if I had to grind out the combat materia myself, I wanted to find a possibly tolerable way that involved actual combat even if it had to be synced (and if I could get Soulglaze along the way that was a bonus), but it doesn't seem realistic with the way I was asking about so now I'm stuck having to buy it, but that's not exactly engaging either, or cheap, depending on the prices on a given day.

So it's not worth it then to make materia as I go?

not at all, also you want to kill the moogle king really fast which you wont be able to do with low level gear.

You want enough burst to kill him in 20 seconds.

Well, that seals it then. I've been doing steps as they came and not spoiling myself in advance (only referring to a wiki when I wasn't sure what the step I was on wanted me to do), but if that's going to be one of the requirements I think I can safely junk the ARR relics I've built so far, and I should probably abandon doing any other relics because these things really aren't casual at all. (Even the Endwalker ones probably demand a million poetics or some other asinine number.)

It seems I've once again been skill-checked out of content part of the way and left to look for something else to do. Thanks for saving me in advance I suppose, it was better to find out now before I spent any more time on this.
