Should FC Leaders Be Able to Convert Personal Homes into FC Houses?

This reminds me of how I have an FC house, but outside of the workshop, I don't use it for anything or even decorate it, and wondered how feasible it would be to just let some other friend group/houseless-FC come in and set it all up however they wanted and I just leave the door unlocked 24/7. Rentless landlord and whatnot.

But then I realized some people might think it was a scam to get free furniture/home design, though I intended to cover the cost of any furniture they asked for or try and make it myself (if I twisted my own arm enough, not the biggest fan of crafting).

I suppose the obvious remarks would be "why not just give up the house so another FC can buy it then" but there's no guarantee they'll have the gil or win the lottery for it, and I certainly don't want MY gil and luck to have gone to waste while giving up a money-making machine. Simply asking them to disband their own FC and join mine would be rude as well, or how I likely couldn't properly run an FC in general anyway, and just handing the reins over to someone else is a good way for ME to end up scammed out of an FC and house if I got kicked out.

I mean, there is nothing stopping you from holding on to the FC house for now if you're not into housing for its own sake and not into DT stuff, from what I read earlier.

I was just trying to find a way to not seem wasteful I suppose, especially with knowing how hard it is to get houses outside of Dynamis, and here I am doing the thing a lot of people take grievance with (a solo FC that just prints gil) even though I'm not out there buying up entire wards, or if there wasn't money to be made, I'd give up the house but keep the FC (for company chest storage).

Admittedly, Maduin doesn't lack for available houses, so perhaps alternately I could look into just financing other FCs with getting Smalls at least. That still comes with a potential to be ripped off I guess (they pocket the 2+mil after having already bid on one), but I'll think of something to screen folks if I decide to be serious about it.

I think it's fine to just have a solo FC house like it's Dynamis, and more questionable people probably harvested entire wards for subs, and there are still a lot of small houses available for everything.

I'd probably try for a FC house too but aether is super crowded and avg number of bids on anything is over 100+, regardless of location.

Yeah, I figure part of what helped me land two Mediums is that they were both in the Goblet, which I've been told is the least-popular of the housing districts.

Personally I liked it because all the sand, cacti and mountains reminded me of my younger years spent living in Tucson AZ, which is also where I was living when I was first introduced to the Final Fantasy series and Squaresoft in general (FF2 on SNES) so the area theming held a certain nostalgia to it.

I don't think it's workable - while there are some wards that have both FC housing and private, there are also private only. What this would do is actually worsen the situation for private housing, as private houses in private only wards would be scooped with the intention making them into FC's houses.

As it stands currently *small* houses are less desirable, and attainable for a private residence - they would also become a high demand property with such a change imo.
