What if summoner's play model disappeared and we played the summons directly until swapping? Kinda like Yuna. Pet ai is prone to lag from user input in this game and I would like to see my summons for longer

Can be done simpler I feel, by using what the Necromancer did in DAoC: On summoning, you become an invincible "shade". Your spells are now commands that place casted abilities into the pet's queue (it has to cast them), for you they're all instant. If the pet dies (or in our case, its duration runs out) you become targetable again (and in DAoC really really frail).
honestly I just wish they would all act like baha and just use spells of those eikons for 15 second not just smn one move vanish feel... odd
Mao wonderings why WoW can has classes like Hunters whats can has two fully functional pets at same times while it seems FFXIV has troubles with even just one.
If you look at the history of Hunters and how often they've been more or less scrapped entirely + reimplemented, Summoner is about 5-6 full reworks away from being cool, yes.
