I even got rocked trying to do the Sightseeing Log because I can't do jumping puzzles for crap it seems, and it's the first expansion where I actually failed parts of the MSQ and had to redo them, sometimes more than once. (Apparently I REALLY suck playing as other NPCs.)

I've also come to find out I'm really not that good at other side content like the Masked Carnivale (Stage 29) or Palace of the Dead (floor 20) and the less said about my attempt at Eureka the better. I can't even like, just solo unsync most of the Extreme trials of Stormblood for the cards because nearly all of them have mechanics that can't be done alone (or at least I'm not good enough to do them alone).

Also for ppl struggling with solo duties, I set it to Very Easy, no one will know, and I can see the next part of the MSQ.
So I'm stuck between all these things I can't complete and not knowing what I'm going to get stuck on next/have to give up on it partway through after trying it.
Well, it's OK to die in content, like I've died a lot in both old and new content, just that I end up looking up the YT guide later for the raid series or AR. No one really cares for normal dungeons or raids if you die a lot too.

The thing with DD or Eureka have special rules for them, they're not meant to solo'd unless for the titles, and you don't have to side content if it stresses you out too. I've never unlocked BLU since it didn't appeal to me back then, and now.

Also for solo duties they have a Very Easy setting and it works well.

There is no replacement game. I don't feel like swapping to those equally old games, and most of the newly known MMOs suck. There is no game that could give me the same feelings as FFXIV did in the past 10 years.

When I finally leave this game I'll be giving up the MMO genre entirely. Which, can be pretty soon.

If by some miracle I discover another game with the same vibes but fun designs that FFXIV would never incorporate, I'd ditch Yoshi without a first thought.

I agree with most of your points, but personally enjoy PotD/HoH. Likely helped that I mostly play MCH and WAR, which along with PCT do pretty well in those dungeons.

It is a bit grindy solo, but I found the steady increase in Aetherpool to be rewarding, and the overall content to be more enjoyable than any other PvE. YMMV, of course.

Lots of things keep me here. Affection for the world. Affection for the Final Fantasy series as a whole. The overall presentation, I love how they sync up the mechanics and music of the fights at times. Playing with friends. And of course, habit. Eorzea has basically been a second home to me since a Realm Reborn launched.

I participate in most content in the game and enjoy it. I do wish the content release schedule was faster and SE would stop sanding down systems and jobs. But when I don't have anything to do in XIV I just log in a bit less often and play single player games.

That's pretty much it tbh and its rather sad.
    Practically this for me.

I'll also add glamour to the list for things I still enjoy, and at least RDM isn't completely destroyed by the job changes, but the desire to play the game has drastically reduced. I really only log on to see friends, take some screenshots, do an expert roulette, and then do something more interesting outside of the game.

Healers have been neglected for 3 expansions now and this needs to be rectified with the following:
    1. An engaging DPS kit beyond a nuke and DoT.
    2. Increased incoming damage so we have more to heal.
    3. Distinctive playstyles amongst the healers.
    4. Some nerfs to non-healer heals, we shouldn't be replaceable.

Currently not raiding and taking a break since this tier's raid gear will not be used for any meaningful content and don't like the glam.
Been playing other games mainly highly recommend Expedition 33

First and foremost, my love for the game and series is my primary driver for playing for nearly a decade now (since Fall 2015). Then my friends is another major reason I still play the game along with some light rp once in a while. My homes also keep me anchored since I worked very hard to get them and I immensely enjoy decorating my homes often where I'm changing things constantly such as decorating for the game events/holidays. I also enjoy collecting glams, crafting, doing hunt trains and S rank hunts and such.

It's OK to die in this game. The way the game is designed, it's 10% player input skill and 90% knowing what will happen/where to stand.

PotD you can't really solo till you got your hands on some potsherds from higher floors for regen potions because you won't be able to survive the early floor bosses at low level with only normal potions. Unless you're ok with slogging your way through on a healer.

Yeah I remember the early days, I loved leveling all the Jobs seeing there own story lines and then craft Glamours that express there personalety in relation to this job, Probably one of the reasons why I now feel like leaving because in my eyes the Devs have proofen that they will put Jobdesign always behind there sacred Highend Raiding.

Seeing all this answers enshured me that leaving is the right choice. I will look back in once 8.0 Drops and while I would love for the Devs to proof me wrong and 8.0 fixing every complaind I have with this game... I highly doubt it so once my plain time runs out it´s probably a goodbey for good.
