    How to dye artifact armour

    Hey!
I'm not sure if this is the right part of the forums, but I was confused with the dye system.
I've seen people who have dyed the Artifact Armour sets, and I wanted to dye my Dragoon ARR Artifact Armor. I have dyes that work on other normal gear, but when I select my Artifact Armour the Dye option isn't in the subcommands. Do I need a certain dye or am I missing something?
BTW I haven't got to Heavensward yet, so if that's something in the expansions then I can't access it yet.
    Any response is welcome!

In Mor Dhona, there's a side quest called Simply to Dye For. After completing this quest, you'll be able to obtain a dyable version of your ARR artifact armor from an NPC named Kakalan.

Are there any requirements for unlocking it? It's marked as a red quest, which means it needs to be unlocked.
Edit: never mind I was thinking of a different quest also related to dyes
    Thx a ton!!
Does it only apply to the ARR artifact armor?
And does it have the same stats as the normal armor?
If not, I have like 400 glamour prisms so glamours won't be an issue

The method for getting the artifact armor is different for every expansion, just as the armors themselves are different every expansion.

Yes, only ARR artifact armor becomes dyable through trading with Kakalan. (Specifically, the ilvl 50/55 sets. For Dragoon, this is the Drachen armor. The ilvl 90 Wyrm armor cannot be augmented or dyed.) In later expansions, there are other methods of obtaining dyable artifact armor.
    - In Heavensward, completing your job quests will give you dyable artifact armor.
    - In Stormblood, completing your job quests will give you undyable artifact armor. Dyable versions are obtained through a field operation called Eureka Anemos.
    - In Shadowbringers, you must complete your job's role quest and reach a certain point in the Shadowbringers MSQ to obtain undyable artifact armor from a vendor. Dyable versions are obtained through a trial, which is unlocked early on in the Shadowbringers relic weapon questline.
    - In both Endwalker and Dawntrail, reaching a certain point in the MSQ will unlock a vendor that gives out artifact armor. To dye the armor, you must complete your job's role quest.

Correct, augmenting the armor doesn't change its stats.
